Architect Pedro Ferreira Pinto Highlights The Alentejo's Coastal Beauty
This striking yet simple villa is located near Comporta, Portugal, just minutes from the ocean. Designed by Pedro Ferreira Pinto, it was built in 2010 to blend into the surrounding environment. It features a private terrace with a heated pool, pine-wood decks, a garden, and an interior courtyard.
It may be simple but it lacks nothing in terms of luxuries. Clean lines and large windows afford generous views of the surrounding dune-like fields and native plants.

This spacious (265 sq m), one-story property can easily accommodate six people in one master suite, two double bedrooms, and three bathrooms. The living room alone measures 60 sq m and boasts a flat-screen television and suspended fireplace. Its kitchen is fully equipped and built around a central cooking island.
Perhaps the most stunning feature of this property is the rooftop terrace and swimming pool. Measuring 30 sq m and finished in micro-cement, it is heated year-round, both day and night.
THE ALENTEJO COAST
The property is located on the Alentejo coastline, only minutes from Praia do Pego, one of Portugal's most acclaimed beaches. It is known for its excellent water quality, clean sand and ease of accessibility. It's also long enough that you'll be sure to find a private space. Nearby there's a great restaurant and cocktail bar. From the beach, you'll be able to see Arrabida Natural Park, which is located on the northern shore of the Sado River.
The house is surrounded in farmland, and as a result you'll be able to pick up abundant local produce.Farther afield, there are many places to visit, and many restaurants offering great local food. There are also many more beaches. Comporta itself is worth a visit, as is the nearby Cais Palafitico, a uniquely beautiful wooden fisherman's pier.

The property is located in Comporta, only one hour from Lisbon's international airport, making it easily accessible from most European cities.
