Located in the charming town of Munxar, this vacation home for rent in Malta is one of the town's first dwellings. Originally a farm, the house is over 200 years old and has been meticulously restored, preserving the authentic charm and traditional character.   

Laid out on two levels, the house is entirely constructed of locally quarried stone, with graceful arches and rustic timbers. 

What was originally the mill room is now an intimate sitting room with a fireplace and a spacious dining area. The adjacent kitchen is fully equipped with easy access to the pool and outdoor terraces.

Upstairs are three double bedrooms and three baths with room for up to six guests. The top floor terrace is an ideal al fresco dining spot with views of Xlendi Valley below. 

The pool is situated on the cliff edge overlooking the same beautiful valley with sunny lounge and dining areas.

Less than a 30-minute ferry ride from Malta, Gozo is a relatively small island that allows you to enjoy the stunning seascapes, rugged interior and charming and tranquil villages in one trip. Time stands still here and the island residents treasure the peace of the island. Munxar is just 10-minute drive to the capital of Victoria also known as Rabat, the fortified citadel city sitting atop a summit. 

It's the heart and the hub of island activitiy with bustling markets and shops (especially the main square market It-Tokk) and a relaxed and sociable atmosphere. The town has unique and thriving cultural attractions ranging from opera to horse races in the main street on festa day. The nearby resort towns of Marsalforn and Xlendi and the Ramla Hondoq bays are within a short drive as is the Mgarr harbor connecting to Malta.

Gozo, Malta. Nearest Airport: Malta International Airport to Cirkewwa Harbor (32km). It's a 30 minute ferry ride from Cirkewwa Harbor to Gozo's Mgarr Harbor (26 km total).

BEST TIME TO VISIT: This house can be appreciated every season. You can have a hot summer holiday in your private pool or a cozy winter retreat around the fireplace. The view at the back is beautiful all year round and since Gozo has an average of 300 sunny days per year, it is sunny most of the time!
