The Malabar was once a busy barn belonging to a farm that dated back to the 1700s, housing an enormous hayloft, cattle stalls and dairy. Respecting its origins, its bedrooms marry original stone walls and oak beams with Herdwick wool carpets and soft furnishings that subtly reflect the years its owners spent in India and the Far East. A great vacation home rental in Cumbria for families and friends sharing.
Light now fills the once cool, dark cavernous barn and each bedroom enjoys views across the hills. Every bedroom has a large en-suite bathroom with sliding doors, a roll-top bath and a walk-in monsoon shower. Also in every room: Roberts radio, satellite television, free wifi, hairdryer, fluffy dressing gowns and Bath House toiletries.
