This holiday home’s spacious live-in kitchen is the heart of the house, and there is comfortable seating for eight persons around its large table.
The lounge with its comfortable Italian sofas and easy chairs, high pitched roof with beams, and wood burning stove is extremely snug. Authentic Moroccan rugs in the bedrooms, kitchen and lounge add the perfect splash of colour to contrast with the dark shining floors and light furniture.
The private, sheltered pool area has a lovely Lanzarote olive tree and many potted flowering plants, along with a handmade dining table under a gazebo, four teak sunbeds, and a gas barbecue.
In addition to the heated pool, there is a sauna and a gym. There is a garage with bicycles, surf and boogie board. There is a washing machine, a TV, and on-site parking.
The villa is located close to a small village, with a very friendly Italian restaurant, La Tasca de Lita, within walking distance. Within seven minutes walk from the house is Arrieta beach and the owners’ favorite restaurant, Casa Playa, which is very child friendly, with fantastic local fish dishes.
The north offers various places to explore, including Cueva de los Verdes, Jameos del Agua and the Mirador del Rio. Haria, the valley of the thousand palm trees, has Cesar Manrique’s former house, which was converted into a museum dedicated to the famous architect who had an enormous influence on the island. In Haria, there is a Saturday morning market with lots of handcrafted products and local vegetables and fruit.
Also recommended is a hike from the church in Ye up to the Corona Volcano for a stunning view into its crater and down the coastline.
Down south, another must is the the volcanic national park Timanfaya, as well as camel rides and the wine road.
