This villa is a gorgeous study in black and white. A bold statement with strong, clean lines and a gleaming white terrace, it sits in stark contrast to the rolling volcanic landscape that surrounds it.
There is so much to love about this space – not least the sculptural grounds with their shimmering blue kidney-shaped pool, cactus garden, lava rocks and strikingly desolate views.
But we were also really taken by the dramatic interiors with their starkly white base and huge windows opening out into the garden. Furnishings are warm, in earthy and black tones, and accented by a gallery-worthy collection of handcrafted objects – carved wooden stools and masks, woven basketry and folk textiles.
This villa for rent in Lanzarote is an appealing base from which to explore the island… should you ever want to leave it.
