This villa for rent in Tuscany still has the historic patina and character of an ancient country house but with a playfully eccentric restoration that gives it a personality all its own. We like the offbeat mix of vintage, modern and antique design touches and the astonishing views of the Tuscan countryside.
Situated among oak forests down a winding gravel road, this ancient villa for rent in Tuscany is located among some of the most iconic landscapes of the region with panoramic views across the countryside and Mount Amiata, Tuscany’s highest mountain.
The impressive stone house and tower structure have retained their rustic character and original layout with a light restoration that leaves the spirit of the house intact. Mixing traditional Tuscan style with vintage modern design elements and a few unexpected colorful accents, the decor and furnishings are comfortable and unique and complement the simple charm of the property.
The large ground floor living area is shared with the kitchen area on one side with two dining tables accommodating up to sixteen guests. A separate sitting area is located on the opposite side with a charming stone fireplace and doors leading to the sheltered stone terrace where an additional dining area can accommodates up to twenty guests. There are four double en suite bedrooms, one double bedroom with private bath, and one en suite single that can sleep up to eleven guests.
The grounds are lush and private with flowering gardens, orchards and plenty of peaceful areas for lounging and dining al fresco. The large infinity pool extends out to the horizon with stunning views to enjoy while taking a dip.
Daily housekeeping included with optional services on request including: Guided tours, driver with rental car delivery, English speaking babysitter, laundry service, grocery stocking. Wifi throughout with computer and printer for guest use, cable TV, laundry facilities. Available equipment for children includes: cots, wooden crib, high chairs, strollers and lots of toys. Firewood provided.
Located in the southern Siena Province in Pienza, you’re ideally placed within driving distance of the picturesque hilltop towns of Montepulciano, Montalcino, and Perugia and some of the best Tuscan wine country. Commanding a hilltop in the southeast part of Tuscany near the Umbrian border, Montepulciano with its winding streets, Gothic and Renaissance architecture and endlessly picturesque views offers a town of rich cultural history. The nearby Lucciola Bella Nature Reserve is a protected stretch of stunning countryside that exemplifies the iconic landscapes of the region as is the neighboring UNESCO World Heritage site Val d’Orcia. The famous wine regions of Chianti, Lake Trasimeno in Umbria, and Assisi make for great day trips. The food, the wine, the stunning scenery are all you’ll need.
