What we like about this property

We love the ethereal minimalism and simplicity of form and style here. Combining the best of modern and traditional aesthetics and elemental luxuries, this villa will put you in a dreamy, carefree mood.

Description

Situated on a breathtaking rock cliff on a quiet vantage point overlooking the sea, the caldera and the village of Megalochori, this villa immerses you completely into the extraordinary beauty of Santorini.

Renovated in 2013 by architects MPLUSM and civil engineer Tziotis Georgios, the structure adheres to the Aegean principles of elemental simplicity along with understated modern luxuries and style. The cool whitewashed adobe structure maintains the  traditional architectural style of the island with smooth and sleek vaulted interiors and spare design. Accented with wood and earth tones and luxurious yet minimal decor, the effect is serene and elegant.

Divided between the main villa and two independent en suite bedrooms, the house can accommodate between two and six guests. There’s a fully equipped kitchen and a rooftop garden for dining with a view as well as lounge areas and a jacuzzi. Chic, luxurious and simple, this villa is a peaceful retreat.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Full breakfast served daily (only offered through 2015), daily housekeeping. Wifi throughout, LCD-3D SMART TV with satellite cable and BluRay DVD player. AROUND

The 17th century village of Megalochori’s is one of the most picturesque on Santorini with it’s narrow streets, iconic marble churches, historic mansions and traditional houses, and is also known as one of the best wine regions on the island. The old port town of Fira is the main draw with it’s iconic terraced complexes and stunning views and is a bustling center for the cruise ships and tourists that regularly descend here but you can get to the interior for hiking the mountains or take a boat tour of the volcano’s caldera and hot springs. Karterados is where you’ll find the classic Santorini architecture and inland you’ll find the Venetian and Byzantine influenced village of Pyrgos at the highest point on the island. The famed town of Oia perched into the volcanic rock is the spot to catch the sunsets.

Spent a glorious 8 days at Peaceful Serene Villa with husband and 20 year old son. The villa is a haven and is beautifully kept and maintained to a very high standard. The location was perfect for us as Megelachori is an extremely unspoilt traditional village which was a welcome respite from busier parts of this beautiful island.

We were so well looked after by Spyridoula from the moment we booked. She arranged the airport transfer and car hire and made numerous recommendations throughout the week all of which were perfect.

We would highly recommend Peaceful Serene Villa and enjoyed every minute of our stay.

We visited Santorini in August and booked Peaceful Serene Villa for 7 nights. The villa is located in Megalochori Village of Santorini. The village is very traditional and quiet part of Santorini and all other attractions are easily accessible. We always preferred a quiet place to stay amongst the locals and experience their traditional ways and eat local food whenever we go for a holiday. It was an awesome experience in our villa with all facilities and warmth you can ask for. Icing in the cake was the jacuzzi which my family loved it specially my son. Spiridoula is an excellent host and she helped us in amazing ways by guiding us through the local attractions, best local restaurants in different locations we were visiting including arranging for trips as and when we required. She went out of the way in guiding and helping us anytime we wanted any advise and help from her. We never had such a good experience in any of the holidays we went to so far. We would like to thank whole heartedly to Spiridoula for this and would definitely visit again in future.

Stayed in the villa with my wife and 3 children. A friend also came to stay for a few nights. Villa is in a quite area of the island, perfect for unwinding and just 10 min drive to Fira. The villa is minimalistic, super clean, gorgeous furniture and very zen. The host is fantastic, super helpful, always at your disposal and incredibly polite . Her recommendations on restaurants and things to do were amazing . Fantastic experience overall!!

A beautiful villa sculpted into the white Santorini stone. Everything is lovely, especially the wonderful Spyridoula who goes out of her way to make your stay the best it can be. The location was perfect with all that you need locally from shops and restaurants to enjoy a memorable, relaxing holiday.

This house suited us very well. Everything was perfect.
Location – walking distance to bars, restaurants and shops. Centrally located for visiting the sites of Santorini recommended by Spyridoula.
Cleanliness – perfect; just like your own house
Comfort – good and very quiet.
What makes this house so special is the attention given to you by Spyridoula. She really takes care of you and is at the end of the phone throughout your stay. She recommends the places to visit and the best restaurants to eat at. She is a fab lady. Thank Spyridoula; we will be back.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay in this wonderful villa, which has been tastefully renovated. The villa is very clean, with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a wonderful jacuzzi!

This villa is situated in the quiet traditional village of Megalochori, a 5 minute walk away you will find a selection of restaurants, and a fabulous local bakery, providing freshly baked pastries, coffee and gorgeous ice cream.

Spyridoula and Vagelis were most helpful, and are more than willingly to book car hire, restaurant reservations etc.

We had a wonderful holiday and would recommend this villa and location without hesitation.

  • Carol, August 18, 2015

Four of us stayed in Anemolia Villa for 10 days during August. We had the most amazing holiday in this lovely villa and village. The Villa is located in the centre of a lovely traditional village called Megalochori. It is just a short walk from lovely restaurants (Raki and Marmita highly recommended) and a few quaint shops. The villa itself has been restored to a very high standard, two spacious bedrooms each with its own private bathroom & dressing rooms. It is very well maintained and furnished and boasts a lovely hot tub and roof garden. Our hosts Spridoula and Vagelis were so welcoming and helpful, making sure all our needs were met. They took care of booking us car hire and restaurant reservations. I would highly recommend this villa.

Run by delightful and very helpful couple who have restored an old family owned house. Its a beautiful minimalist restoration of traditional townhouse in an unspoiled village off the main tourist trail but well located for beaches and the southern end of the island. Photos are accurate.

We have just returned from four nights in this beautifully restored traditional town house. The house was exactly as described and shown on the website. Very clean, with comfortable beds, generous rooms, well equipped bathrooms and kitchen, a secluded terrace with jacuzzi, and a roof terrace to watch the sun set over the village.
Spyridoula and Vagelis could not have been more helpful in meeting us, sharing their knowledge of restaurants, beaches, wineries and other interesting places to visit, and being happy to sort out bookings or answer any questions during our stay.
The house is close the village centre where there are several restaurants and small shops and is also 5 minutes walk from a very good bakery.
Megalochori is a great location for the southern beaches and is very quiet, even in high season, allowing you to avoid the traffic jams and tourist hoards in Oia and Fira in high season, if you want to.

My husband and i stayed in this beautiful villa for 8 nights and we really were very happy with its beauty and amenities. It is exactly how it shows in the pictures and nestles in a beautiful little village with lots of taverna’s. The Villa itself was very comfortable with everything we could wish for. Spyridoula was also incredibly helpful, upon booking, the run up to our holiday and during. We will certainly return should our journeys bring us back to breathtaking Santorini!!

My two kids, wife, and I stayed here for 3 nights. We were met by the driver, who took us straight to the villa where we were met by Vagelis. He offered us some food and drink to get comfortable while he spent considerate time with us to explain the ins and outs of the island. He suggested various highlights and ‘must-visits’ of Santorini, including both tourist locations and especially some hidden gems. The villa was very clean upon arrival and was maintained that way with daily cleaning services. The breakfast items were restocked each day. The jacuzzi was also very nice, although a little on the colder side, but still relaxing.
The location, Megalochori, is also the perfect spot to stay on the island. Only a short drive to the beaches on the south side or another short drive to Thira in the North. And right across the street from the living complex is a cliff with a beautiful vista to take in the waning hours of the day and a spectacular sunset without the noises and crowds of tourists. The whole town is very low key with great surrounding restaurants and we would very much recommend staying here whether with your family, spouse, or friends.
Both Spyridoula and Vegalis made the visit even more enjoyable with their warm “family” hospitality and their connections within the town of Megalochori, which were very positive.

Spyridoula and Vagelis were perfect hosts. The villa itself is exactly what the website says it is, the description is absolutely correct. We cannot fault anything, it was relaxing, the village is lovely with some very good restaurants. We would highly recommend it – brilliant. We would like to thank Spyridoula and Vagelis for a memorable break.

We love love loved our time with Spyridoula and her husband Vagelis. Everything from beginning to end was great for myself, boyfriend, sister and cousin.Started with great communication with Spyridoula before arrival and even during our stay. Upon arrival Vagelis took over, welcomed us with a bottle of wine, a showing of the Villa and all we needed to know about the villa, the area and the best of Santorini from a true local with the awesome tips. He gave us a map full of very necessary detail, made reservations for us and was easily available whenever needed. The entire experience was simply Perfect.

The Villa is exactly what you see in the pictures/images. Cozy, beautiful, cute with great views from the rooftop. Cleaned daily and restocked with breakfast. The location of the villa required a car to move around but it was perfect to allow us explore the island of course with great direction from our hosts. The location of the Villa is also quite beautiful, peaceful, great restaurants and wineries nearby as well as a really nice bakery a 5 minute-walk away.

The Villa was a perfect choice. It was located in a quiet area. The setting was nicely decorated with a comfortable setting. It was great for my family and I cause we are big on enjoying the experience and Anemolia Villa offered us exactly that. The rooms where nicely presented and cozy. The jacuzzi was definitely my favorite, after a long day in the city we would just relax in there. The host was so pleasant and welcoming. He helped a lot with places and activities to participate. And they were all good choices, it was definitely a great experience and would recommend it to anyone.

When we arrived at the villa we wanted to buy it ! The photos of the web site that we have seen were exactly the reality a white villa with light blue windows and doors with a big jacuzzi , with dinning area at the patio oh my god we though that we where at the paradise .My girlfriend and I were so happy , eveything were so perfect .Every morning we ate our breakfast at the patio or at the terrace and we enjoy the sun and the view to the traditional village .The villa is so traditional and designed . Late at the nights we dive into the heated jacuzzi and drink wine with candles around us so romantic. We relax at our bedroom with so anatomic matress , full wi fi everywhere in the villa , we watched movies , unforgetable times there . This villa is really perfect for relaxing far from the noicy places .It is so tasteful the design, the furnitures, accessories ,decoration generally fantastic.
We would like to thanks Spyridoula who takes care for everything she knows very well what hospitality means, she takes care of us , she made everything perfect .We loved that villa, probably it is one of the best in Santorini. We will visit it again for sure .

The location of Anemolia Villa was perfect for us. Very quiet and private. A lovely short walk through the picturesque village to have lunch or dinner. There is a small selection of very good places to eat close by. The island is very small and this location was a great starting point to explore the rest of the island by hire car which the very helpful owner Vangelis arranged for us. He provided us with suggestions of restaurants and places to visit and offered a very person service. We loved the villa! Simple but beautifully renovation of an old cave house. The small kitchen was perfect for making breakfast which was provided daily. The sun terrace on the roof offered a lovely place to relax in the afternoon. In the evenings we enjoyed the hot tub on the patio. We had fantastic local cuisine and great local wines during our stay. This villa is perfect for romance and relaxation.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Anemolia! The house was newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous! I travelled with my boyfriend, parents and my boyfriends mother, and there was more than enough room for us. The sofa was as comfortable to sleep in as the beds. And the roof-terrace, outdoor dining area and jacuzzi were nice plusses.
Megalochori is a very nice place to explore the island from. A nice little village in the center of the island without all the stress and tourists as in Fira and Oia. The beaches are just a short car-trip away.

But what made our stay truly rememberable was our host; Spyridoula. She is so helpful, welcoming and warm. And she is available 24 hours a day for anything you need! She gave us tips about places to eat and visit, and booked a wonderful boat trip for us. I have never experienced such good service. She even brought us a home made cake :) At the end of the week I felt like we’d known eachother for years. It was even a little sad to say goodbye…

If you are looking for the best way to do Santorini, this is it! The villa is located in a quaint historic town that is outside of the crazy tourist areas. It is in a quiet location and is walking distance from restaurants and shops, but just a short 10 min drive to all the best beaches and Fria. The villa is newly renovated and absolutely gorgeous! The villa was even more beautiful and pristine than the pictures and spotless. The experience is further enhanced by the villa’s charming owner and concierge. Spyridoula was so sweet and welcoming. She spends the time to make sure that you are completely comfortable and will bend over backwards to make your stay more enjoyable. She not only had a rental car brought to us at the villa, but she took the time to drive it with us so that we were acquainted with the area. She is available to you 24 hours a day and happy to help. We can’t thank her enough for making our trip so memorable!

We are a young family and have travelled to Santorini the previous year. We were lucky to have the excuse to go back for a friends wedding. And even more lucky to stay at Anemolia Villa.

It was absolutely ideal for us, it was very high spec, and looked great throughout, and ideal for our little boy as well – the Villa is very private, with lots and lots of space which isn’t common in Santorini, really comfy beds, satellite TV DVD player etc, good aircon nice towels shampoos etc. The Jacuzzi was amazing and great for Leon to play in, and with the big umbrella the whole terrace can be shaded if you want somewhere for children to play outside – so just on the Villa itself I can really recommend staying here.

However – there’s lots more reasons to choose Anemolia, one Megalochori Village itself is in my opinion the most classy part of the island, it’s relatively quiet and peaceful, elegant, and has 4 /5 top restaurants that will also do food for you to have back at the villa, a few nice craft gift shops, bakery, and one of the best winery’s in Santorini, selling locally made and pressed wine. The Village is also not more than 15 minutes from anywhere other than Oia on the island – and if you go for a week it’s unlikely you’ll go to Oia more than once. (If you do book a restaurant to watch the sunset from; either from the bay which is a bit more pricey or half way up the cliff – it’s ridiculous with all the jostling especially in high season anywhere else).

And that’s the other part why Megalochori is so lovely is the rest of the island is absolutely rammed Thira Firostefani and Oia especially – they are lovely but you won’t get any peace so if you like things a bit more high end, and private with good service – you won’t get better than Anemolia – you’ll be looking at 10’s of thousands for a week for anywhere even approaching it!

And finally the service – Spyridoula is a legend! She literally cannot do more for you, she came from a wedding once to help us with something even. Leon absolutely loved her and she is great with kids (Like a lot of the Satorinian’s we met actually), and it was really comforting knowing we could have her babysitting him whilst we went to the wedding. She also sorted out someone to drive us round which was so much better than the island taxis which are a bit all over the place, & pick up multiple passengers after you’ve booked them etc. So the whole thing was very relaxing, easy, and enjoyable for all of us : ) Thanks Spyridoula!

The Peaceful Serene Villa is located in the quaint village of Megalachori, which is perfect for those that want peace and privacy away from Fira and Oia. The villa is traditional but it has been extremely well redesigned and renovated under an architect’s guidance to be thoroughly modern while also retaining its heritage features. The villa is spotless, is well fitted out and has two large comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The neighbourhood is very quiet and you feel part of the local community. Good quality restaurants and cafes are only a short walk away and are highly recommended. Finally, the owner and host, Spyridoula, is exceptional and is always happy to help out with suggestions to enjoy the fabulous Greek island of Santorini.

at Anemolia Villa. It was the BEST 4 nights spent there! The villa was very clean, well-maintained, and huge! We were 5 people under 1 roof, and there was still room! The entire villa was laid out well, and the interior deco was very cosy. The view from the rooftop was spectacular, both in the daytime for breakfast, and at night when we went up to gaze at the stars (we saw shooting stars too! How absolutely magical!).

The kitchen was well-equipped, and we used it to the max without any problems when we decided to cook on our last night. The jacuzzi was something we looked forward to return “home” to every day after our exploration around Santorini. The bathroom was big and clean, and we had shampoo/shower gel/soap provided, as well as separate towels for our showers and the jacuzzi.

It wasn’t just the villa that made our stay at Santorini amazing. Our host, Spyridoula, was the “icing on the delicious cake”. Already before we arrived in Santorini, she was communicating with me both by email and once on the phone. We made arrangements for practical things like the airport/ferry terminal transfers, as well as the car rental (very recommended, if you want to explore Santorini). Everything was taken care of in advance, so we didn’t need to worry at all.

Spyridoula welcomed us when we arrived, and it felt like we already knew each other for a long time! She opened a bottle of white wine as a welcome to her villa, gave us a tour around the villa, and showed us how things worked. She then provided us with maps, a list of things to do in Santorini, and suggestions for restaurants in the area. She also cleaned the villa every morning during our stay, and re-stocked the refrigerator with breakfast for the next day.

It wasn’t just the practical things that Spyridoula helped us with. My husband and I were celebrating our 10 years anniversary in Santorini, and when she found out about that, she went the extra mile! She recommended a special restaurant for us to have dinner at on our anniversary night, booked the place for us, and even arranged to have a delicious heart-shaped cake with 10 candles to celebrate with! She also arranged a surprise tour together with our parents as an anniversary gift from them to us. Talk about a 7-star service!!!

I recommend EVERYONE to stay at Anemolia Villa when visiting Santorini for the first time. Megalochori isn’t like the tourist areas of Fira and Oia, so don’t expect to see a lot of tourists or shops in the area. If you want a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of people and traffic, then stay at Anemolia Villa, rent a car to get around, and I guarantee you that you will have a fantastic time in Santorini. We certainly did!

A small authentic village in Santorini, a traditional house wonderfully renovated, a nice, helpful and very welcoming owner. Everything was just perfect!
Megalochori is ideally located to visit the island in a convenient way (rent a car) and avoid the cruise tourits invading the island every morning. The village is really pretty with a central square with nice local restaurants.
The house offers a quiet location, a rooftop terrace with seaview and an outside jacuzzi. A combination of comfort, design, high tech …and tradition. What else….?
Spyridoula will help you organise your journey (before arrival and during your stay), will provide with tons of useful tips and suggestions. She is really great!

This place is absolutely incredible!!!! Amazing villa, we loved every minute. Spacious, clean, beautifully decorated and well located with a beautiful view from the terrace. The Jacuzzi is fantastically relaxing. The pictures exactly reflect how beautiful is this villa. Spyridoula and her husband were amazing, so friendly and extremely helpful – organizing transfers, tickets, rent and helping us carry our luggage as well as checking if everything was ok. They also gave us the best great advice about places to go around. This place is extremely quiet and homey, and we would definitely stay here again! Amazing 6 days, we highly recommend it!

My experience at Anemolia Via was complete perfection from beginning to end! The Villa is absolutely stunning and exactly as it appears in photos, meticulously and tastefully decorated and in pristine condition (our only regret was that we were not able to stay longer).
It is located in a small village about a 20+ minute drive from Fira which was actually perfect as Fira and Oia are both quite touristy and it was really nice to go to a more serene, low-key village.
The host Spyridoula was beyond amazing, as soon as we arrived at the Villa she gave us a list of all the things to do on the island, her favorite restaurants as well as what tourist traps to avoid. She was spot on in her recommendations and also booked (and managed) the car rental for us as well as arranged for our car transfers to and from the ferry and airport and always told us to call her night or day should we need anything. My friend even left his passport in the hotel in Mykonos and she helped us arrange to have it delivered to us in Santorini and even accompanied my friend to the messenger office to pick it up and ensure that he received it in time for our flight the next day.
I cannot sing higher praises of the Villa and our host and would highly recommend to anyone interested in renting (and note this is coming from three very picky, hard to please New Yorkers!). A++++

    Perfect place to stay

This place is just perfect. If you want holiday with relax, just book this place. It’s near from everywhere. It’s right in the middle of the Santorini, so you could get any where within 30 minutes. Even Oia village is around 25 min by car. Also the property is just same as the picture. You will get what you expected. Me and my friends went there for the graduation trip, everything was just perfect. Also last but not least, the customer services of Spyridoula is just perfect. She always willing to help us and suggests various place. Unlike other place, she do recommend place that is cheap for traveller. Also I had little accident with my rent car, she is more than willing to help us to resolve the problem. If you want perfect holiday, this is place to go in Santorini~ :D (by the way, thank you Spyridoula, we really had awesome time there :D! )

“Stunning villa, exceptional service and great location”
We are a young family and have travelled to Santorini the previous year. We were lucky to have the excuse to go back for a friends wedding. And even more lucky to stay at Peaceful Serene Villa.

However – there’s lots more reasons to choose Peaceful Serene Villa, one Megalochori Village itself is in my opinion the most classy part of the island, it’s relatively quiet and peaceful, elegant, and has 4 /5 top restaurants that will also do food for you to have back at the villa, a few nice craft gift shops, bakery, and one of the best winery’s in Santorini, selling locally made and pressed wine.

And that’s the other part why Megalochori is so lovely is the rest of the island is absolutely rammed Thira Firostefani and Oia especially – they are lovely but you won’t get any peace so if you like things a bit more high end, and private with good service – you won’t get better than the Peaceful Serene Villa – you’ll be looking at 10’s of thousands for a week for anywhere even approaching it!

This has been by far the best host I’ve ever stayed with. Spyridoula is the host that the founders of this company had in mind when thinking about the perfect experience.
    ***
I was on a family vacation in Santorini and she really went out of her way to make sure we got the most out of our trip: from restaurant recommendations to daily housekeeping, from stocking the fridge with groceries for breakfast to arranging transportation from the airport and a car to move around the island. My brother told her about his plans to get engaged during this trip and upon hearing this she helped him find the perfect place and coordinated everything for the proposal, which turned out to be fantastic.

If you are traveling to Santorini and want to have a sensational and authentic experience I recommend you to stay at this house and specially with Spyridoula; she will make your trip unforgettable.
    Quick facts:
    – Pictures accurately represent the house
    – Daily cleaning keeps the house pristine
    – House is in Megalochori, ancient village that is conveniently located in the middle of the island
    – Good Wi-Fi (although you are in Santorini, leave work at home) august 2013
