Approach from the rustic landscape and you’ll happen upon the low-slung dwelling, with its elegantly symmetrical seven arches that protect the knotty pine-lined breezeway. They face a large fountain, wrapped in original Spanish tiles.

This whitewashed and light-filled vacation rental in Joshua Tree is quite literally also filled with good energy: inside its walls are healing crystals, from amethyst to aquamarine to smoky quartz. These crystals can cleanse, protect and ground your energy field, bringing emotional calm or a greater capacity for love.

The owners curated products with care throughout the space; there are pillows from Morrow Softs Goods and personal care products by Public Goods.

With four bedrooms and two bathrooms, Seven Arches can accommodate up to 10 guests. And it’s a great escape for large groups, with its menu of potential activities: from stargazing in the geodesic dome-covered Jacuzzi, to playing horseshoes, to taking a mezcal on the breezeway bench and watching the sun fall behind the Sawtooth mountains with your favorite playlist wafting from the home’s Sonos speakers.

Sway by day in the hammock, take a cool dip in the cowboy tub on hot days, and gather and entertain under the California sun and stars, with a propane fire pit, BBQ and outdoor dining space ready to host you.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

The property's horse corral has a host of games, including corn hole, horseshoe toss, croquet, and hook & ring. Events and photo shoots are possible with prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.

CALIFORNIA’S HIGH DESERT

The property is located in Yucca Valley, which is just 25 minutes by car from the Joshua Tree National Park, a huge park of nearly 800,000 acres, filled with creosote bushes, ocotillo and cholla cactus, as well as its namesake trees. It's a great destination for hiking and exploring.

The house is also only a few minutes from local restaurants and shops (including the elevated roadside bistro, La Copine, which is 1 minute away), and 15 minutes from Pioneertown, a former frontier movie set which took on a life of its own. One of the main attractions there is Pappy & Harriet's, a cool little music venue with a great mesquite barbecue. A little farther afield in Landers is the Integratron, an energy machine said to be located on a powerful geomagnetic vortex.

A car is highly recommended.

Guest will receive a full refund if booking is cancelled at least 60 days before the time of check-in. If the guest cancels 30-60 days before the start of the stay, they will receive a 50% refund. Covid-19 Policy
Only In the event the cancellation is a direct result of the pandemic (government orders the stoppage of vacation rentals or the authorities decide to restrict travel from the country of origin or to the country where the property is located), guests will be given the opportunity to receive full credit for their reservation if they rebook within one year. If the guest is unable to take the credit, the guest will receive a full refund if the booking is cancelled at least 14 days before arrival date. If the guest cancels 1 -14 days before the start of the stay they will receive a 50% refund. If they cancel within 24 hours of the stay, no refund will be given.

Notes Please be aware of your surroundings. The desert is shared with wildlife, and you might see wild rabbits, coyotes, mice, beetles, snakes, and spiders. The house is on a septic system, and the owners ask that you do not flush anything other than toilet paper. Getting around In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the house is equipped with exterior cameras. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are no cameras on the inside.

VACATION RENTAL AGREEMENT : THIS AGREEMENT IS NOT A LEASE AND CONVEYS NO RIGHTS IN REAL PROPERTY AT ANY TIME. YOUR USE IS LIMITED TO THAT STATED IN THIS AGREEMENT. COVERED PERIOD: Your sole right to use the Property begins with [4PM] check-in and ends at [11AM check-out], unless other times are approved in writing in advance by Cohost. This agreement is in effect from the time and date of the confirmation of your booking of the Property. GUESTS You may not exceed the number of people stated on your reservation confirmation at any time without prior approval of Cohost. This limitation applies regardless of whether such persons are staying the night or just visiting. You may not have more than [two] cars on the property without prior permission of Cohost. PHOTOSHOOTS No professional photoshoots are allowed without prior written approval of Cohost. Unauthorized use of the Property’s name, address or images, including its interior, exterior and/or private property surroundings, for any commercial use, including but not limited to selling, advertising, marketing, and/or promotion of any product or business or use in any print, advertising, TV, film production, electronic or other media, is unlawful. Failure to follow these rules will be pursued by Cohost to the full extent of the law. SPECIAL EVENTS Special events, including but not limited to weddings and parties, are not permitted without prior written approval of Cohost. PROHIBITED ITEMS DJ equipment and PA speakers are prohibited without prior written approval. Additionally, the following items are considered damaging and are not allowed on the property; you will be charged a cleaning fee if found in violation of this rule: candles, incendiary Device, confetti, glitter, paint. CANCELLATIONS If for any reason beyond the control of the Property owner, the Property is unavailable for use by Guest, Cohost may cancel your reservation with only a refund of the actual fees and/or deposits you have paid. INTERNET No illegal or abusive use of the Internet access is allowed on the Property. OWNER ACCESS Guest shall allow the owner of the Property or any designated workers access to the Property for landscaping and routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs and inspection of buildings, and any pool and hot tub on the Property. SMOKING Smoking is not allowed inside the house on the Property or within 15 feet of any exterior door of the house. SURVEILLANCE Guest must also acknowledge and accept that there are surveillance or recording devices on the Property. Please contact us for field of view questions PETS Pets are allowed with prior written permission of Cohost and only with an additional cleaning fee. Cohost will deduct $200 from your deposit for unapproved pets. Pet owners agree to the following additional rules: - Use protective sheets that we will leave out for you to cover any place where your pet may lie (we are not equipped to shampoo furniture or rugs or dry clean bedding after your departure). Outside the house, dogs are to be leashed at all times (there are coyotes in the High Desert, which present particular danger to unleashed dogs); and - Owners must immediately pick up after their pets and deposit waste in a plastic bag and place it in the garbage. In addition to our additional pet cleaning fee, Cohost will deduct the costs of extra cleaning or repairs necessitated by the presence of your pets. In addition, you assume all responsibility for any harm that may come to your pets (s) and agree to hold harmless Cohost, the Property owner, their agents and employees against all losses, claims, liabilities, causes of action, damages, costs and expenses related to any harm that may come to your pet(s) while on the Property. DESERT DANGERS Guest acknowledges that the Property is located in the “High Desert” of Southern California, which has unique forms of animal and plant life. This environment is inhabited by numerous animals who may harm humans or pets under certain conditions. These animals include coyotes, rattlesnakes, and bobcats, among others. These animals should be avoided altogether by Guests, other inhabitants of the Property, and guests of Guest, and Guest should take all necessary precautions to keep pets away from these animals. Plant life in the high desert includes, without limitation, chollas, Joshua Trees, and numerous forms of cacti. Contact with many of these plants can cause severe injury to Guest, other inhabitants, and guests of Guest, who should avoid contact with these plants altogether. Guest should also take precautions to keep pets away from these plants. Guest assumes all risk of harm from contact with animals and plants in the High Desert, and will hold Cohost harmless against any claims for loss, injury or damages resulting from such contact. POOLS A. Swimming pools, hot tubs, and cowboy tubs, (collectively “pools”), while providing exercise, recreation, and relaxation, can also be dangerous. People (as well as pets) can be severely injured or drown if a pool is not properly used. Guest, other occupants and the guests of Guest must adhere to the following safe practices regarding use of any pool on the Property: - No one should dive into the pool - No intoxicated persons may use the pool - No one should use the pool alone as there is no lifeguard on duty - Children may never be left unattended when they may gain access to the pool, not even for a few seconds - Regarding hot tubs, all persons should fully remove the hot tub cover before use; no one should sit or lie on the cover. Neither Cohost, the Property owner nor their employees or agents can assure the safety of persons using property containing a pool. As a consequence, Guest will assume liability for all losses, costs, damages, claims, liabilities and expenses related to pool use by Guest, other occupants, their guests, and their pets, as further set out below in Paragraph D of this Section 11. B. If the Property contains a pool, the following rules also apply: - The pool may be used after dark with quiet hours in mind (no loud noises after 10pm). Guests are welcome to enjoy the pool all night but must pay attention to the noise! - Adult supervision is required for anyone under the age of 14 - All drinks must be served in unbreakable containers - No excessive noise is permitted at any hour - Users must shower and clean their feet prior to using the pool. C. NO LIFEGUARD WILL BE ON DUTY AT THE POOL. GUEST, OTHER OCCUPANTS AND GUESTS OF GUEST SWIM AT THEIR OWN RISK D. Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Cohost, the Property owner and their employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all losses, costs, expenses, claims, liabilities and causes of action of any kind that Guest, members of Guest's household or Guest's guests or invitees may have at any time resulting from or relating to such persons’ use of a pool on the Property. E. If there is a cowboy tub on the Property, Guest has complete discretion whether to fill the tub; however, upon filling the tub, Guest assumes all risk of injuries or harm resulting from use of the tub. NOISE Be considerate of the neighbors and keep music and voices at a respectful volume. There is a county-wide noise ordinance of no amplified music or loud noises after 10pm. DRONES You may fly a drone on the property, but never into neighboring properties. FURNITURE Please do not take furniture from inside the house and use it outside. If for some reason you decide to rearrange any of the furniture, you are responsible for returning it to where it was located when you arrived. Our cleaners are unable to move heavy furniture. If you do move furniture, please lift rather than drag heavy items so as not to damage the floors. Guest agrees to release, indemnify, hold harmless and forever discharge Cohost, the Property owner and their employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including the value of missing items, resulting from Guest’s failure to follow the rules stated in this Agreement or as a result of the causes stated below in this paragraph. Accordingly, Cohost may withhold all or part of your deposit if you fail to follow the rules in this Agreement, the Property listing or the Property house manual. If the cost of damages, losses, or missing items resulting from Guest’s failure to follow the rules or as a result of the causes stated in this paragraph should exceed the amount of the deposit, Cohost will bill Guest’s credit card for the difference and/or pursue legal action. Cause(s) for withholding deposit funds, charging Guest’s credit card and/or pursuing legal action include, but are not limited to: damage to premises or contents; missing or broken items; lost keys; required excessive cleaning; failure to comply fully with the departure checklist; smoke odors or damage; mailing charges for items left behind; unauthorized persons visiting or staying on the property; the presence of a dog without authorization; noise complaints after 10pm, including related fines; trespassing on neighboring properties; and unauthorized late check-out.
