We (three adults and one toddler) stayed at River Willow in mid November for a 4 nights stay. The cabin is lovely and very nicely appointed.
The ground were well kept, and the space felt secluded and private – although you can see the adjacent neighbor’s properties. The back deck has spectacular views of the mountains and the river, and is set up with rocking chairs and a bar height ledge and stools for outdoor dining/drinks. The steps off of the deck lead down to paths along the river, and the cabin’s tiny private “beach”/riverfront area.
Inside, the decor is charming and warm – with a beautiful stone fireplace and comfortable seating. We were pleased to find the kitchen well stocked with cookware, utensils, dinnerware and cups – plus a dishwasher. All bathrooms are on the main floor: a toilet room, a shower/tub and sink room, and then a separate toilet/sink room tucked between the main bedroom and smaller second bedroom. The ladder to the sleeping loft is steep. The sleeping loft had a main bed and fold out sleeping loveseat – plus a little balcony that looked over the front yard.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay. Communication with the host was prompt, friendly and helpful. We hope to return!

River Willow is a beautifully thoughtful home. I was so comfortable, everything you could think of was covered. I love to cook and the kitchen is fully stocked, even with local coffee. It’s so peaceful I didn’t want to leave and the river access is really special. I will definitely come back!

This cabin was a wonderful stay for my partner and I. Well kept, with very unique touches, it provided the perfect getaway for us. It was really hot during our time in Kernville, so having the river nearby was key. We will definitely be back!
