Description

Located on the edge of the Atlantic Rainforest on a coffee farm high in the coastal mountains, Fazenda Brazil brings together the history, culture, and beauty of the country in one small hotel. The main house is a traditional 1850’s colonial estate, while guests stay in 5 small villas around the property for a more exclusive experience. Each villa has its own aesthetic and charm.

As Fazenda Brazil is a working farm (Fazenda refers to the coffee plantations that spread across the interior of Brazil in the second half of the 19th century), meals are a large part of guest experience. The hotel prepares traditional meals from organic produce grown right in the backyard. You can enjoy fresh milk, cheese, and fruit pies for breakfast while the evening brings organic caipirinha – the national drink of Brazil – before dinner.

Guests have the choice between staying in a double/twin room or suite in the main building, or in one of 5 private villas on the property. See Notes in Info/Rates section for specific details.

There is no TV, cell phone service, or internet access at Fazenda Brazil, ensuring total tranquility. No wonder the hotel is often used as a residency setting for international artists! However, the area offers plenty of activites and no 2 days are alike at Fazenda Brazil. Choose from hiking, rafting, horse back riding, fishing, swimming, or just relaxing on the farm.

I was in desperate need of the country, rest and a huge desire to horseback ride. This trip to Fazenda Brazil delivered this and so much more. It came full of surprises! From full moon night horseback riding to sunset watching from the top of the highest hills. We arrived by horse and there prepared for us were blankets, pillows wine and nibbles. All the food is grown at the farm. The main house is open for everyone to wander in and it feels like your at your own farm. We had lunch prepared for us one day by a lake on the patio of a small house, surrounded by nature completely isolated from everyone. There are so many options and places to hide and relax. On our last night their was a bonfire with two locals playing there guitars and singing – a real treat. To top it all off this farm is owned by such a sweet family, they bring their culture and energy to the place. There is art randomly placed throughout the hills. Cant wait to go back!!!! A must experience that left me wanting more. Inspiring

We truly enjoyed our stay at the hotel! The place is spectacular, especially if you have little kids. Our 20 months old daughter loved the animals on the farm and the big space to run. She didnt get bored a sec! The staff is amazingly friendly and the main house absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was excellent, lunch and dinner were good. All food is organic and comes from the hotel itself. This is a big plus and you could truly taste it.
The horses and guide were very good so do a horsetrip! Lunch and little cabin by the lake is breathtaking!

Wonderful experience. Everything was perfect, the room was a peaceful retreat, food was great and very healthy, done with the crops of the place, activities were great… I felt like I was in my family getaway, except I felt my family was very, very special. Luxury and simplicity together, a perfect blend. Best place I ever saw for resourcing and finding inspiration!

The intention of the trip was to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and the place was perfect. 1) very beautiful area, 2) excellent service, 3) amazing food, specially the barbecue on Saturday night (and you can eat as much as you want), 4) several options for activities (go to the sunset by horse, it’s really nice… Very beautiful and you will have a good structure in the mountain), 5) very nice room and shower.
