We like not only the history of this beautiful building, but the way it reflects the elegance and luxury of the 1920’s. The neutral color palette and the natural materials such as the wooden floors, the canvas screens and the designer furniture calls for a restful experience.
In a bygone era, the legendary Pullman Express whistled by. Today the former railway station of Moere in the region of Bruges has become the setting for a delightful B&B where blissful peace, discrete luxury and ancient heritage are intertwined.
In the roaring twenties, railway line 62 played a central role in international luxury train travel. Affluent Parisians embarked on the Paris-Belgian Coast Pullman Express towards fashionable seaside resort towns such as Ostend and Knokke. Departing from Ostend, a city that in those days held international allure, the noble and the wealthy boarded trains that still peak the imagination in regard to their exceptional elegance: the Orient Express, the Ostend Vienna Express and the Ostend Saint-Petersburg Express.
In Moere, the railway station is all that is left from this golden era… The old railway station had been vacant for a long time, before it was revived in 2011. Great care went into restoring the old brick station, and today it positively glows with warmth and an understated countryside glamour, just as it must have done when affluent Parisians were passing through in the Twenties on their summer vacations.

So good I almost don’t want to share
My husband and I visited Spoor.62 for the second time recently. Obviously we were so impressed with our first stay – originally a recommendation from my parents – that we had to return for a repeat visit. Irma is the most gracious host, impressing us with her language skills (skipping from English to German to Dutch with ease), her delicious and wholesome breakfast spreads, and her charming ability to remember small details about us and our families. The interior styling of Spoor.62 is impeccable, with a comfort and ease that makes you feel right at home (or makes you wish it WAS home). This lovely B&B is a destination in its own right, given the location, but the generous reading rooms and large garden encourage visitors to stay and while away the hours just relaxing and enjoying. Irma is quick with her suggestions of places to eat, drink and visit in the surrounding areas and is always in the know of any interesting cultural activities worth including in your visit. One of my favourite places to stay, anywhere.

We went for the 3rd time on weekend at Irma in SPOOR 62. As expected, it was pleasant to stay in the cozy, modern B & B. Just like the previous weekends, the weather was taken care of down to the last detail. The warm welcome, the hospitality, the delicious breakfast overlooking the garden, the radiating calm from the arrival, pleasant clean room with blissful beds, cozy reading corner with the cozy wood stove, tips for trips, tips for restaurants, … We will definitely come back again. Thanks again Irma!

Thanks to the advice of a friend, it has led us into the Spoor 62 and we have – contrary to our other holiday habits – something luxury indulged. We could accept him very well, because he was so nicely offered. Unfortunately, Irma was not able to change anything on the freezing cold weather. It was all the more important that we felt so comfortable in our ‘home’. Because instead of the planned spring bike tour, we preferred to make ourselves comfortable in front of the warm fireplace. That was rest! Thank you so much!

A wonderful place to relax and enjoy design, the comfort and luxury of the room, the rural view and the personal indulgences (such as a fantastic breakfast) of the warm hostess. A blissful (Easter) weekend with two …

Picturesque inside and out
We stayed at Spoor 62 for a weekend during this cold, cold winter, and found green and sunny surroundings of pure beauty on the outside, and a pure interior and very warm welcome by Irma once inside. The room, dining room and library were impeccable, the breakfast refined and plentiful! We were taken care of with a great eye for detail and were happy with the attention and local tips we received from the hostess. Our room – with bathtub – was large and comfortable, minimally decorated and all the more peaceful for that reason. Spoor 62 reflects great taste and elegance in every way. We could not wish for a better stay! Siska and Charles.
