This lovely vacation home for rent in Spain makes a great little escape for two. Located on the edge of the village of Guatiza, it's close to bars, restaurants and beaches, but offers a wonderful sense of seclusion.
A sweet blend of Spain and North Africa, this little apartment hideaway on Lanzarote is tucked away in the garden of a 300-year-old farmhouse. It's the perfect vacation home for rent in Spain, offering privacy and plenty of options for entertainment and excursions. Positioned on the outskirts of Guatiza, it's five minutes' drive from the beach at Arrieta, and a few minutes' walk to Cesar Manrique's famous cactus garden.
A recently renovated one-bedroom apartment, it's a great place for a couple to unwind. A large living room (with woodburning stove and Smart TV) opens onto the garden patio, which has its own lounge area. The beautiful private garden, packed with tropical plants, has different chill-out areas. We love the little nooks tucked into the whitewashed walls. There's even an outdoor shower.

Beach towels are provided as well as bath towels and linen. The property has a brand new kitchen and bathroom.
AROUND
Located in the village of Guatiza, the house is well positioned to explore the less touristy side of the island. It's just five minutes (by car) from the lovely, unspoiled beach at Arrieta and also close to Playa La Garita, which is considered one of the finest beaches on Lanzarote.
It's within walking distance of Cesar Manrique's famous cactus garden, built in a disused quarry, and now housing 7,200 cacti. The Jameos del Agua and the Valley of 1000 Palms are also nearby.
The village of Guatiza is unspoiled but it does have all the amenities needed for a relaxing vacation - supermarket, cash point, bars and restaurants. It is surrounded in farmland and countryside which is great for exploring on foot.

BEST TIME TO VISIT: Lanzarote has great weather year round. Summers can be very hot and the main tourist areas can be crowded.
