An oasis of tranquility and total privacy, this vacation home for rent in France is situated on over thirty-two acres of bucolic countryside with panoramic views from its perch on a hill. Often referred to as ‘the Tuscany of France’ for the distinctive similarities in the landscape with its Italian counterpart, the area is designed for escape and relaxation.
Restored in traditional architectural style, but with all the modern comfort and amenities of today, the home was a passion project of a pair of creative professionals looking for a slower pace who channeled inspiration and imagination into the home.
Integrating polished new finishes and contemporary furnishings with the original rustic features and provincial character, it's a winning combination.
The living room is focused around the large hearth and the gleaming modern kitchen and dining area at the heart of the house. There are four bedrooms and three baths with room for up to eight guests.
Aficionados of fine food, the couple also love preparing it and offer an optional table d'hotes for guests with fresh local ingredients and wines.
There is both a 10×4 meter pool situated directly by the house and another 15×5 meter pool by the main mansion along with a jeu de boule court and a large patio with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen and dining area for entertaining.
The soothing tranquility of the area, with the occasional faraway sounds, will transport you into holiday mode.
QUERCY BLANC
Located just outside of Sauveterre in the Midi-Pyrenees region and the beautiful national parklands of Quercy Blanc, the house is ninety minutes north of Toulouse. At a twenty-minute drive, you’ll find the historical medium-size towns of Cahors and Montauban with their charming mix of traditional and modern shops and brocantes markets.
Located near the northern borders of the Tarn et Garonne and Lot departments, the area is rich in cultural heritage, natural resources, and regional gastronomy with many charming medieval villages including Lalbenque, Montpezat, Caylus and Puylaroque. The area is well known for its wild truffles and saffron that complement the local cuisine and for its many caves, gorges, and rivers for exploring, climbing and canoeing.
