Located just on the edge of town in a quiet, pastoral country setting, Artisan Adobes' four adobe casitas are just a five-minute drive to the historic plaza. Colorful and cozy. Comfortable and quiet. Calm and uncluttered. The four traditional, elegant, sprawling old adobe homes are gorgeously furnished and supplied with more than you would expect in a vacation rental or hotel.

Most guests who stay here spend more time at home than they ever expected to! Natural mud plasters and richly-colored stucco adorn the walls, arches and kiva fireplaces, and saltillo tiles and antique rugs are at your feet. The colors, textures and decor are true New Mexico charm.

Step out the doors and each casita has its own private courtyard garden or patio. Pick from the organic vegetable gardens all spring, summer and fall, and watch a flock of beautiful chickens free roam in the yard. Sit under the shady weeping willow tree or in the New Mexican sun out in the orchard - or under the stars at night and drink in the magic of Taos.

Cook up a beautiful meal in the fully equipped cook's kitchens and dine at gorgeous antique dining room tables next to wood-burning kiva fireplaces. Light some candles and sink in for the night. And if you absolutely need to check in with civilization, all of the casitas are completely furnished with satellite TV, laptop computers and high speed Wifi.

Your host, Richard, lives a few doors down the road to answer any questions and tend to any needs that you may have. And best of all, there is a gorgeous, well-tended flock of generous hens that provide all the fresh eggs that you'll need to cook up for breakfast each morning!

Located a few minutes southwest of town, you're ideally placed to enjoy both the culture and excitement of the pueblo and the natural beauty of the high desert environment. The vibrant and artistic city features award-winning restaurants and cafes, dozens of galleries, excellent farmers markets in the Bent Street shopping district, Ledoux Street, and of course, the Taos Plaza.

Head up the beautiful Taos Canyon highway just five miles from the center of town, where the Taos de Fernando River snakes through the area and the nearby Carson National Forest with its many, many hiking trails. You are just forty minutes to the slopes of Taos Ski Valley and thirty minutes to Angel Fire Ski Area.
