We like the distinctive fusion of modern and traditional Andalusian style and the brighty colored accents that showcase the vision and design talents of architect Valentin de Madariaga. This is a chic resort villa with a stylish sense of fun.
Located in one of the largest and most luxurious residential developments in Europe, this villa was renovated and adapted by Spanish architect Valentín de Madariaga from an existing villa and transformed with a harmonious contrast of architectural styles.
Situated on over an acre of forested grounds alongside one of the top golf courses in the world, both the structure and the landscape are based on balance and symmetry, using some of the principles of feng shui and spatial orientation. A beautiful mix of modern and rounded lines, the villa's design arises from natural shapes that mould and adapt into their environment and include both a curved subterranean poolhouse and a domed annex.
The main house revolves around two axis points that divide the entrance and living areas and the kitchen and dining room with six en suite bedrooms at each end that can sleep up to twelve. The neighboring guest house includes two additional en suite bedrooms and sleeps an additional four guests.
Bright and airy, both the structures and the interiors have a distinctly Andalusian feel with eye-catching contemporary style (designed by Marta de la Rica), decor and art and indoor outdoor areas that connect the residences while providing intimate privacy.
The gardens are expansive and lush with a large pool and bright pink pool house and a tennis courts for summer fun. There's a fully furnished outdoor lounge on the main floor and a Moroccan-themed terrace and solarium that overlooks the property with fantastic views of the setting sun.
