This striking beach house in a secluded and tranquil neighborhood in Sagunto, Valencia, dates back to the late 1960s. It was recently acquired by new owners and given a complete makeover, with the help of interior designer Sergio Bonaque.
The house is a single-floor residence with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The essence of the original modernist-style architecture has been retained, while traditional Mediterranean elements and mid-century design pieces have been added.
Four large sliding doors lead from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom onto the large terrace, with its pool. This indoor-outdoor flow and bright, airy feel is emphasized by the pale marble floor that extends throughout the home.
The owners chose dry stone walls both inside and out that use a traditional artisanal technique. With its Gaggenau appliances and iroko wood paneled walls (with matching dining table), it’s a sleek and elegant space.
