Zebbug is one of the oldest town in Malta. Zebbug means “olives” in Maltese, named for the large olive groves that once grew here, and is known for its long lacemaking tradition, dating back to the 16th century, along with its stunning coastal beauty.
The Piazza in the village is a three-minute walk from KUCCA, and it has a convenience store, banks, ATMs, pharmacies, post office, and in less than two minutes, you’ll run into Lokomotif, an Italian restaurant, Lungo, a café, and Tax-Xiha, a restaurant and pizzeria.
Religious architecture is also abundant in Zebbug, with 13 chapels sprinkled around the city and the countryside, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries. The oldest one, a medieval beauty dedicated to St Roque, was constructed in 1593.

BEST TIME TO VISIT: All year round, but April and May are particularly beautiful, when the countryside is in full bloom.
