AROUND
The apartment is in the very center of Athens in the Thission district between Plaka and Monastiraki, just steps from the Acropolis. Full of little pedestrian streets, it’s a mix of Mediterranean, Neoclassical and modern architecture near to the ancient Agora, museums, galleries and lots of cafes and tavernas to sit and watch the street scene and nightlife.
Shrouded in ancient myth and mystery, Athens is the cradle of democracy and responsible for the birth of theater and philosophy. Situated in Parthenon’s shadow, its temples and Byzantine churches, Ottoman era mosques, bars, restaurants, cafes, monuments, and ancient archaeological treasures are all within easy reach to be able to enjoy this densely vibrant city.
For day trips out of the city, the historic seaside settlement of Chamolia along the east coast lies under an hour from the capital. Stretching as far south as Sounion, it is considered modern day Greece’s cosmopolitan Riviera, with water side promenades, resorts, excellent dining and nightlife and gorgeous Blue Flag beaches as well as the nearby archaeological site of Vravrona and the Sanctuary of Artemis.

We would love to come back! Beautifully decorated house. Very comfortable beds. Whole apartment super clean. Well equipped, had everything we needed on high standard. Fast wifi. Short walk to Acropolis. Very quiet, nice neighborhood with supermarket and bakery around corner. Helpful host.

Beautifully decorated house. Very comfortable beds. Whole appartment super clean. Well equipped and all newly renovated, had everything we needed of high standard. Fast wifi. Short walk to Acropolis. Very quiet, nice neighbourhood, orange trees outside which my daughters wanted to pluck and finally resisted not doing so :) with supermarket and bakery around the corner. Helpful host. We hired a car and were able to park it right outside the house every time we came back and it was so convenient. Taxi company close by to book a cab for early morning travel to/from airport/port. Overall very comfortable stay especially with the family. We will stay again if we return back to Athens……A big thanks to Maria & Orestis!!!
