Ghent based ceramic artist Kristien De Ridder has always had an appreciation for the beauty of art, craftsmanship and most of all, color. When not working in her studio, you’ll find her browsing fabric and antiques shops, and design and fashion stores on the lookout for unique objects, and inspiration.
Collaborating with her fashion and interior designer daughter, they share a passion for color and interior design, and finding unique and surprising combinations.
Together their goal is to bring a cheerful and inviting sense of style to their projects, and with this vacation home for rent in Belgium, they’ve crafted two entirely different and delightful worlds.
Housed in the same early 20th century townhouse in one of the most historic parts of the city, each space is a reflection of their collaborative style. The Boho Cave is a serene space of light and all neutral colors, inspired by the whites of the southern Mediterranean seaside homes and softened by textiles and pops of color.
The Apollo Suite is all atmospheric drama, with deep saturated color and vintage inspired design.
Both are expressive and creative and both make De Ridder’s unique ceramic pieces an integral part of the story. Stop by the guesthouse shop to browse the collection and bring home a unique piece for yourself!
