What we like about this property

A private jungle like oasis and great contemporary design elements give this simple guest house a sophisticated update. We love the subtle and intuitive approach to modern style.

Description

Surrounded by beautiful gardens and set in complete privacy, this thoughtfully redesigned bungalow maximizes both indoor and outdoor spaces in stylish harmony. The dramatic shiny black exterior and lush gardens interact and coexist beautifully in tone and character creating a peaceful and luxurious little hideaway.

Co-designed with eco-home developers modlife.la and sustainable architectural design studio bau10, this is a thoughtful and chic collaboration from two environmental design experts.

The bright, vaulted ceilings and open floor plan take advantage of the existing footprint while expanding the total living area into the gardens for a more spacious and balanced environment.

Luxurious and sleek, the home features Danish black oak floors, Italian glass tile and stainless steel but remains simple and chic. The understated contemporary furnishings and central fireplace create an inviting and sophisticated focal point with refined style.

With one bedroom and one bath and a state-of-the-art fully equipped kitchen, the home is ideal for two and features a sunny private deck that extends from both the bedroom and living area.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Wifi, HDTV and DVD player. Stereo CD audio system. Luxury towels and linens, laundry facilities, weekly maid service included.

AROUND

A great central Venice location within several blocks of the shoreline. It is also centrally located near Lincoln Blvd and Rose Ave. as well as nearby Main Street and Abbott Kinney St. where you’ll find the best of the chic and popular spots for great dining, shopping, walking and nightlife. Although Los Angeles is a sprawling metro area, this is one of the best spots to access the city and nearby urban and rural recreational options.

LOCATION

Venice Beach, California. Nearest Airport: LAX (7 miles)

We loved absolutely everything about this place. for aesthetic junkies, spare and elegant design. For the earth lovers, 100% self contained and old the grid. For those needing privacy and quiet it’s here. Great bathtub and bed, too!!

Lovely Zen-style modernist little house set in a private bamboo grove on a quiet street just off Lincoln Blvd/PCH. Ample parking. All the facilities are there: great bedroom and bathroom with full bath and large living room with big kitchen area and a sun patio outside with a neat little water feature. Venice Place was a great base for us from which to explore Venice Beach and Santa Monica as well as the delights of LA’s West Side, all within easy reach. Can’t wait to go back!

We stayed a week in October and it was wonderful in every way — beautifully designed and furnished and well-located. From the moment you enter the gate, you feel transported to a relaxing private world — quiet, calming, and lovely. Fabian is a wonderful host — gives you your privacy but responds speedily to any request. You are one block from a Whole Foods so it’s great to eat in and not far from the main restaurant area of Venice. We walked tons — to the beach, to restaurants — and this is supposed to be a car city! Easy to get everywhere. Fabian recommended several restaurants that we enjoyed thoroughly. Easy off-street parking (rare in L.A.), safe residential street, nice neighbors. Couldn’t be happier and the price for what you get is truly remarkable. Venice is a real neighborhood and this is the place to stay. Oh — checklist: listing accurate, photos accurate, place spit-and-polish clean, well-maintained, owner helpful…you get the idea.

We could have stayed in this place all weekend long and then longer! The amenities (Whole Foods) and Groundwork Coffee House are easily walkable, but why walk when you can ride your cruiser there? The customer service was exceptional as we arrived, dropped our bags, plugged an iHome device and had the cruisers delivered within a half hour. Rose Ave is nearby, and Venice Place is quiet yet strategically located to have anything you want right there. We’ll be back and Venice Place is our first choice!
