This villa for rent in Morocco preserves the simple and earthy North African aesthetic we love with all of its timeless and atmospheric cultural traditions, colors and effortless style.
Just ten minutes from central Essaouira – ‘The Jewel of the Atlantic’ – this villa for rent in Morocco is a well preserved riad at the heart of the Berber Ksar.
An elegant, historic holiday home that focuses on stylish Moroccan living, the traditional structure is composed of vertical wrap around profile that provides a spacious and intimate environment as well as bright open spaces arranged around an interior courtyard. Updated with a light touch and an eye for detail, the interiors are an inspired synthesis of traditional and contemporary design with earthy materials and a simple but colorful mix of authentic Moroccan and custom designer furnishings, textiles and decor created by a renowned Paris based designer and fashion muse.
The living and dining areas are bright and airy and include a large kitchen that opens out to the outdoor lounge areas and courtyard. With four completely renovated en suite bedrooms, the house can sleep up to ten.
The inward focus and proportions make the courtyard, framed by its antique columns and beautiful palm trees, the calm and cool central lounging area while a spacious and private rooftop terrace allows for sunbathing, lounging and great sky view dining. The pool is a sheltered, cooling respite from the desert sun and the ideal place to unwind and enjoy the Moroccan experience.
Fully staffed with a house manager, who is always available and will attend to all your requirements, housemaid and her assistant who prepare meals and for laundry services. Wifi throughout, TV and land line telephone for guests use. Yoga and Pilates equipment available with optional massage, spa and beauty services available.
Located within a few hours of Marrakech, Essaouira is southern Morocco’s legendary beach town. Unlike the big city, Essaouira is laid back and timeless with sandy-colored ramparts, whitewashed avenues, French-style piazzas, and a port full of azure blue fishing boats. The medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the beautiful fishing harbor are great places to explore each with a great selection of restaurants. There are beautiful sandy beaches nearby renown for excellent surfing spots. Don’t miss a camel ride to fort Bordj El Berod and the traditional souks as well as the famous music and cultural festivals. The Gnaoua World Music festival, the city’s biggest annual event, is held every June and runs for three days – early booking is recommended.
Essaouira, Morocco. Nearest Airport: Essaouira (10km) or Marrakech (180km)
BEST TIME TO VISIT: September through December is ideal weather but the coastal city is pleasant for most of the year with occasional windy and hot conditions in July and August.
