What we like about this property

Fresh and fun, this hostel has none of the grubby connotations of communal living we remember! We love the thoughful restoration, inspired vintage modern design and the refreshingly quirky sensibility. Vamos!

Description

Created from an early 1920’s neoclassical mansion, the grand architectural identity remains and has been meticulously preserved and repurposed into a unique lodging concept. The new layout uses the vast elegant interiors to full advantage and showcases great retro style along with a newly playful and cheeky personality.

A smartly curated collection of vintage modern decor and furnishings create an unexpected accompaniment to the classic structure and deliver the style and comfort of pricier hotels. With a total of nine rooms, there are multiple options of accommodation for singles or couples along with stylish and comfortable common areas that allow you to meet and greet your fellow travelers.

Refreshingly chic and modern, this is economical room and board for chic nomads.

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Wifi, game room, library. Complimentary breakfast, housekeeping and linens. Private parking, airport shuttle service, baggage storage and personal lockers.

We spent 9 days at Pousada Blanco and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. The location is one of a kind, on a small and quiet fishing village on the Litoral Norte of São Paulo state. There’s plenty to do around the area: the hotel offers a boat tour on a schooner of beaches around the area, all extremely beautiful with no one else around; you can also take a quick boat ride (or kayak or swim) to the Praia da Fazenda, the beach you can see across the bay, and since it’s in a State Park, it’s 3 miles undeveloped paradise; we had a car, so we also visited Paraty, a little over half an hour away, and Trindade, which also has some amazing beaches (I really recommend the hike to the natural pool!); plus plenty of hikes, of all levels, in the State Park, where you can see beautiful waterfalls in the middle of the forest.
The pousada itself is beautiful, the service very friendly and helpful and everything is well kept and very clean. The meals are also great, based on traditional Brazilian cuisine, and if the weather allows it, the dinners are held in the pool area.
We had a great experience, and managed to disconnect and relax fully. For us, that was the biggest benefit of our stay and it would not have been possible without the service from the friendly staff.

It was extremely nice with very attentive service, its a good 300 yards from the nearest road, had to walk across a beach to reach the steep incline path to the hotel. it was 7am when we arrived and a manager,David could not have done any more to help us. the breakfasts and suppers were extremely good and the rooms very clean.

Imagine: you are on a small hilly road. You get to a fisherman village, on the beach. Here the road stops, among vessels and drying nets, and you have to walk your way thru the narrow street of the village, until you get there: a posada full of charm, garden of flowers, deck with breathtaking view over the sea. You are in paradise and the rest of your experience is just going to be on the same tune. Wordless…
