Casa Alba is a unique bed and breakfast tucked into the hills of Benissa and surrounded by the luscious vineyards of Xaló, the rolling countryside and the unspoiled, turquoise waters of the Costa Blanca.
It is made up of only four suites, making this a deeply personal and peaceful home. There are two casitas with private garden terraces, as well as two rooms with en-suite bathrooms in the finca.
Each space is designed with care by a Dutch couple who left their busy life in Amsterdam (working in fashion, hospitality and design) to create this little slice of paradise. They were, they say, craving a clear, calm and present state of mind, but were not sure how, when and where they would find it.
“In 2014,” they told us, “we began road-tripping throughout Spain to see if this itch could become real life. We explored from Sevilla to Malaga and all the way to Valencia. Then, four years later, we discovered the amazing Marina Alta area and fell in love instantly.”
It took them a few months to find the exact spot. When they did, the abandoned home needed a lot of work – and love – and it took them nine months to open their gate to guests.
“This truly is our happy place,” they say. “With Casa Alba, we would like you to experience a perfect place to simply enjoy the mind-blowing present.”
The style is modern Mediterranean, with natural materials, warm colors and tons of natural light. The large natural garden offers plenty of inviting spaces and a large pool, ideal for switching off and enjoying the tranquility. Take a swim in the pool, enjoy the amazing views, or take a nap under the olive tree.
This is a dreamy boutique hotel in Spain, far from the crowds.
