What we like about this property

This hotel puts you directly into the heart of Ragusa’s beautiful historic district and is an inspired restoration and celebration of Sicilian history. We love the graceful old stone work and chic modern accents.

Description

Located in the center of Ragusa, one of the most celebrated UNESCO treasures of the Val di Noto’s Baroque district, this 18th century building is situated opposite the La Rocca Palace and a few meters from the St George Cathedral and the Via XXV Aprile.

Restored and adapted by native Sicilians to create a intimate hospitality concept that connects guests to the culture and unique aspects of the region, this hotel is inviting and chic with all of the modern comforts of a hotel with the option of renting it as a private villa. Arranged over two floors, that feature lovely gardens and terraces overlooking the St. George Cathedral and the St. Leonardo Valley, there are five en suite bedrooms with private baths, each dedicated to and inspired by famous Sicilian authors.

The common areas include a fully equipped kitchen and dining room where breakfast is served and a small living room. The garden and terraces include a jaccuzi and a courtyard where you can dine alfresco overlooking the oldest part of town and the beautiful Iblei Gardens. Discover and be inspired by this historic place where the architecture, culture and landscape come alive.
