It’s also within easy driving distance of Avignon, making it a great small hotel in Provence for couples wanting a relaxing getaway.
This beautiful 19th-century country house is located in the medieval village of Saint Laurent des Arbres. It’s well situated for exploring the region – as it’s within easy reach of Avignon, Uzès, Chateauneuf du Pape and Nîmes. However, it would be equally easy to stay in the village and enjoy everything this small hotel in Provence has to offer.
The property retains the charm of its classical stone architecture, but also has a contemporary spa feel and has modern comforts in abundance. The hotel, its rooms and its garden are all designed for indulgence, and a variety of wellness treats, from massage to algae wraps, are available.
There are five contemporary-style rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, some with Jacuzzis, and others with terraces overlooking the garden. Each room has a natural theme – jasmine, sandalwood, rosewater, almond milk, and orange blossom – and sheets are laundered with flower-scented water.
A great feature of the hotel is its lovely walled garden with elegant stone pool, where guests are invited to dive in, or to curl up in the shade with a good book. There’s also a large kitchen space, with dining tables, where breakfast is served, and additional seasonal, local meals can be arranged.
There are two rooms with baths, one with a Jacuzzi, and two with Jacuzzi, terrace and TV. Breakfast is included. There is enclosed parking and wifi.
The hotel offers wellness treatments, including a wide range of massages, starting at €80 for 60 minutes, manicures at €50 for 45 minutes, and algae wraps. Two evenings a week, there are seasonal, regional dinner menus.
