An Art Nouveau B&B in the Heart of Avignon
The classic Bohemian elegance, the contrasting decorative elements with the imaginative use of color, and the remains of the authentic Art Nouveau architecture are a great mix. This is a comfortable and artistic residence that is beautiful and inviting.
This charming turn-of-the-century guest house has been fully renovated with a light touch, creating an intimate and private B&B that allows for the original architecture and layout to shine.
Offering modern comfort and authentic period character, the home has been divided into three separate self-contained guest rooms each designed using the original architectural features. With swaths of warm color, mixed Moorish floor patterns, and contrasting textures, the rooms each have slightly differing character, while two feature private and modern en suite baths.
The Pearl is an elegant retreat with deep saturated colors, rich Persian rugs and a hand-carved marble fireplace for sleeping hearthside, while the Ivory Room is fresh and bright with fun contemporary decor and also comes with a beautiful hand-carved bedside fireplace. The Amber Room opens to a private terrace and features simple decor and old-world charm.
The Ivory Suite is composed of two adjoining rooms, with a living room and a private terrace.
The ground floor features a graceful, winding wrought iron stairway adjacent to the guest lounge and dining lounge. Both areas are bright with natural light and are the ideal places to eat a leisurely meal and gather in front of the fireside. The eclectic decor and original art and furnishings harmonize gently with the very subtle contemporary pieces and modern updates throughout. A bright, leafy terrace with outdoor dining sits just off the lounge area where the self serve summer kitchen allows you to prepare your own tea, coffee, drinks or appetizers.
