What we like about this property

Just the kind of place you’d want to stop, have a bite and stay a spell, Boonville Hotel is a charming and sincerely affable kind of place that’s a welcoming respite along the road. We like the sweet and simple informality and unplugged country pace. It’s “simplicity by design” in a relaxed and charming modern roadhouse.

Description

Two hours north of San Francisco in the heart of Mendocino County, the Boonville Hotel is a welcoming pit stop along the road for travelers seeking an affordably luxurious “modern roadhouse” and a place to unplug. Fashioned from a building dating back to 1862, the hotel has undergone a thoughtful renovation that focuses on natural materials and design, ecological impact and simple pleasures. With only fifteen rooms, the hotel provides a peaceful intimacy that invites you to savor the delights of rural life.

Each room is unique and uncluttered with a varied selection ranging from a back to basics suite to your own bungalow, all with one of a kind furnishings and decor and eye catching detail. Eight of the rooms offer private terraces  while four of the rooms include private entrances for an even more secluded feel. Focusing on light, space and the landscape, the hotel was designed to limit the environmental impact and utilizes best practices to be eco-friendly.

The hotel’s restaurant Table 128 prepares delicious prix fixe meals family style inspired by what’s in season  with flavors that delight and satisfy.

Stop in and and enjoy a lodging experience you won’t find anywhere else!

ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Complimentary breakfast. The hotel is “unplugged” with spotty cell and internet service and no telephones or televisions (who needs it?). Housekeeping daily.

AROUND

Famous for it’s gorgeous coastline, northern California’s Mendocino County is home to some equally amazing inland areas dotted with quaint towns and the Anderson Valley wine region. Heading up Highway 128, the region is home to the neighboring towns and wineries of Yorkville Highlands  Philo, and Navarro. The charming little whistle stop town of Boonville is long on small town charm with a general store, a pub or two and quaint shops as well as charming local color. Head out to the nearby Big River for some canoeing and swimming and don’t miss a hike through the towering redwoods.
