Centrally located in one of Cape Town's most vibrant neighborhoods, this luxury boutique hotel in South Africa is a unique and intimate boutique gem that combines great style, modern comforts and an elegant look back at Victorian culture of the city. Completely restored by the current owners, the ornate features and genteel charms of the original house have been augmented by the eye-catching work of some of the city's best local designers with a colorful pastiche of styles and influences.
The ground floor encompasses a clubby fireside lounge with a fully equipped kitchen and dining area along with two double en suite rooms. The bright and funky Yellow Room is a richly detailed and quirky suite with an old Victorian fireplace and dramatic black bathroom, while the Blue Room is a tranquil, elegant space with a skylight that floods the room with natural light and comes equipped with a luxurious freestanding Victorian bathtub. The room also has access to a small patio that includes part of the larger outside spaces.
Upstairs, the Red Room has an earthy, boudoir feel and a private balcony overlooking Hofmeyr Street with direct access to the jacuzzi on the roof. The spacious bathroom also has a freestanding Victorian bath and a separate shower.
The largest room is the White Room, an airy ethereal space of zen minimalism, it has a private balcony overlooking the leafy gardens and a luxurious bathroom with freestanding Victorian bathtub and separate shower and offers direct access to the rooftop jacuzzi.
Guests also have access to an interior courtyard and a sun terrace as well as the jacuzzi where you can take in the views of the harbor and the famous Table Mountain.
