This is a grand home with traditional roots but with an awe-inspiring update. Beautifully and immaculately restored, the Chateau has maintained its distinctly elegant 18th-century French roots and historic value but has been transformed into an eclectic residence by integrating modern decor and design updates. Rich color accents and original fixtures and materials harmonize with the contemporary furnishings and decor creating a surprising mix.
Situated in the heart of Burgundy, this small hotel on 6 hectares of farmland features two comfortable guest rooms and four luxurious and spacious suites, each with an individual character ranging from French château style with sober antiques, to a more loft-style architecture all decorated from a private collection of contemporary art and design.
The separate farmhouse has been transformed into two loft suites -the Fontenay and Vezelay. Two stories with whitewashed interiors and open beam wooden ceilings, these private suites recall the original barn they used to be and are connected with a spectacular handcrafted oak staircase with a decidedly modern twist.
Designer Patricia Urquiola (of Italian design brand Agape) has done a magnificent and imaginative job of re-imagining the modern industrial open plan bath in the farmhouse with clean sleek design and fixtures. The terrace and pool area is surrounded by teak and plenty of lounging and outdoor dining and the gardens are lush and constructed in the typical French country style.
With the newly finished restaurant, there is simple but fine dining some nights of the week (depending on reservations) in addition to the breakfast buffet every day from a state-of-the-art kitchen. With a passion for cuisine, great attention is paid to select locally sourced organic food and the finest wines including the proprietary Chablis.
This amazing Château has managed to make bold design leaps without interrupting the harmony of the home or countryside making this a unique French country experience.

In the heart of Burgundy, on the edge of an 800-hectare forest, there are beautiful views down the valley of Montigny la Resle.
The famous wine village of Chablis is a short drive away. Historic Unesco World Heritage sites, wine villages, abbeys and fabulous chateaux are located throughout the rolling countryside. There are open-air markets, world-class fine dining, and of course, some of the best wines in the world.
