A Sustainable Beach House Surrounded by Unspoilt Nature

Drawing its inspiration from the pristine and environmentally protected area of Cairuçu, this beach house for rent in Brazil is surrounded by unspoiled beaches, lush rainforest and wonderful seclusion. Accessible only by boat, this is a laid back, minimalist and eco-friendly retreat with magnificent views and a great sense of adventure.

Facing spectacular views right on the shore and accessible only by boat, this beach house for rent in Brazil exists at a languid pace with just unspoiled nature and a few fishing boats floating by. Set within the lush jungle there are forest paths to explore and sparkling turquoise water teeming with colorful marine life a few steps from the house. Located inside an Environmental Protection Area (APA) at the end of the Ilha Grande peninsula, there are no roads or cars but you are within a short ride to the UNESCO town of Paraty.

Built 2010, the bright breezy interiors feature a quietly luxurious style that pulls from traditional Brazilian traditions but with a clean modern minimalism that emphasizes the stunning environment. The living spaces all open out to a wraparound decks facing the views and lovely gardens perfect for outdoor dining and relaxing. There are three breezy en-suite bedrooms that face the sea, and a bonus room on the other side of the house each with shuttered doors that open out to nature.

The house uses modern eco-technologies including fresh spring water, and all energy provided by solar panels, treading lightly on the environment. Launch your kayak or dive in and enjoy the warm tropical waters that you’ll share with the local dolphins, turtles and colorful fish.

Located in a stunningly beautiful and remote location, this is a private paradise far off the beaten path.

    Additional features

The owners proudly engage in best sustainability practices with low energy use, ceiling fans and passive air design instead of air conditioning, LED lights, solar heated hot water, compost food waste, separate recycling, biodegradable soaps, shampoo and rubbish bags and strongly discourage single use plastics (filtered spring water provided).  Organic produce is sourced for guests wherever possible.

    Around

As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the central district of Paraty is strikingly preserved in time and you'll see and feel the cultural and architectural significance everywhere. Cobble stone streets, whitewashed exteriors and playful splashes of color are all hallmarks of Portuguese colonial influence.

Set along the lush Costa Verde, the town fronts the Ilha Grande bay and it's multiple islands and the Serra da Bocaina mountains inland. Once you've soaked in village life, head out on the private boat to a deserted beach or one of the neighboring islands and explore the dazzling expanses of nature that haven’t been overrun with tourists.
