The classic Venetian construction was considered state of the art in the Middle Ages and has stood the test of time. The exposed stone and graceful arches inside and out pair nicely with sleek new marble floors, large bay windows that brighten and expand the interiors, and lofty ceilings. Luxurious but family-friendly, this expansive home is traditional and understated with comfortable but refined furnishings and decor.

With five double bedrooms and four baths, the villa sleeps up to twelve guests and features warm, expansive living spaces inside and out. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped to serve everyone inside or poolside and comes with a fully stocked wine cellar. Head to the rooftop terrace for some stunning views over the Aegean or enjoy the pool in privacy and peace in the walled gardens.

Just above the historically significant village of Maroulas, you are situated just a few miles from the Venetian harbor town of Rethymno. A medieval fortified town, Maroulas is classified as an archeological heritage site and remains very charming and old world. Some of the best beaches including Platanias are just a few miles away along the scenic coastline.
