The classic revivial architecture is elegant and stately with surprisingly modern interiors and unexpected structural features. Arranged over one level, the villa's main living area features soaring loft style ceilings and bright walls of glass that open out to the pool and gardens.
The open-plan layout creates a vast gallery like space with sleek concrete floors and a bright canvas for the interesting collection of art, antiques and furnishings with areas for dining and lounging fireside. There's a library off to the side and the fully-equipped gourmet kitchen overlooks the main living area with and an indoor/outdoor bar connecting it to the poolside terrace.
With a total of four bedrooms and five baths the house sleeps up to eight guests with a light and elegant master and two additional bedrooms in the main house and one full en suite master in the adjacent guest unit. The bright neutral palette is inviting and serene and showcases the pops of colorful modern design and African antiques to great effect.
The poolside lounge and gardens are a lovely private oasis to enjoy fun in the California sun.
