Entering through a red door into the ground floor, there's a large eat-in kitchen and dining area with a lounge and media room. The designers have lightened and reimagined the spaces, transforming them with stylish, vintage-inspired decor, furnishings and art pieces by Eric de Bruijn. Upstairs are two bright and airy double bedrooms for four and a fabulous rooftop terrace with a round plunge pool and an outdoor kitchen for warm summer nights.

The largest city in the western Algarve, the port town of Portimao has morphed from a thriving fishing hub into a charming and typical town that serves as both a coastal resort destination and an authentic slice of Portuguese life. Located along the right bank of the Arade river facing Ferragudo on the opposite side, it's a great jumping off point for the best of the Algarve's sun-drenched beaches including the famous Praia da Rocha, Praia do Vau, Praia de Alvor, Carvoeiro, Vale Centeanes and Carvalho beach. Don’t miss the Moorish town of Silves a short drive to the north.

Forty five minutes east is Faro, the Algarve capital with both a well-preserved medieval beauty and a contemporary feel. The marina and historic old town plazas are part of its charm, and it's directly adjacent to the beautiful Ria Formosa Preserve and Ilha Deserta.
