A Milanese Couple Create an Organic Farm in the Hilltop Town of Montepulciano
Located just outside of the stunning hilltop town of Montepulciano, this charming B&B is surrounded by rambling Tuscan countryside with panoramic views across the valley into town. Discovered by a Milan-based husband and wife team escaping the fast lane, the duo describes the tangible feeling of "this is the place" when they first laid eyes on it.
Inspired by nature, the couple set about restoring the villa by hand as well as developing and cultivating the land to create a working organic farm of orchards and vegetable gardens that produce much of what is served at the house.
Each of the four suites are spacious and bright with the rustic remnants of the original structures intact. Designed and decorated with natural as well as recycled materials, textiles, decorative accessories and printed art, it's unique and personal and vividly expresses the vision and passion for design of the owners.
Serving the freshest ingredients from the biodynamic organic farm, you'll enjoy fresh seasonal fare in the large dining-room where the food is served up at a long wood table below antique chandeliers or, weather permitting, alfresco in the gardens with views of the old medieval town. Visit the bottega for some of the charming items designed by the owner as well as homemade pastas and food from the land.

Inhabiting and commanding a hilltop in the southeast part of Tuscany near the Umbrian border, Montepulciano with winding streets, Gothic and Renaissance architecture, and endlessly picturesque views offers a town of rich cultural history.
Ideally situated close to Siena, Perugia, and nearby Pienza, you'll want a car to explore and experience the region. Neighboring Val d'Orcia is a UNESCO World Heritage site with the famous wine regions of Chianti and Montalcino, Lake Trasimeno in Umbria, Perugia, and Assisi making for great day trips.
