This is a really unique space. Located an hour away from the capital, Lisbon, it's close to the hip seaside town of Comporta and surrounded by nature. With two separate buildings composed of wood and glass among the sandy coastal forests, it's a vacation home rental in Portugal that's perfect for all types of groups looking for a quiet escape.
Although it looks like it belongs on a tropical island, this property is actually located near the laid-back beach town of Comporta, south of Lisbon. Inspired by Portugal's rugged natural beauty and windswept coastal forests, its primary element is wood, and it boasts a pared down aesthetic that celebrates minimalism and simple living in nature.
There are two units that can be rented together or separately. The Wooden Barn is the larger of the two, with two bedrooms under its gabled roof. It's reminiscent of a tropical palapa, with windows running the entire length of the house and looking out over a large fire pit. It's sparingly furnished, with living spaces both inside and out, all of which add to the wonderful beach vibe.
The other, the Wooden Cabin is the ultimate in minimalism. A simple structure built on a terrace, it has a queen-sized bed tucked into a cozy bedroom, a cool little outside living space, and a bathroom. Its design draws inspiration from the nature surrounding it.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
There is on-site parking. The house has a TV, as well as an iron and hairdryer. There is heating but no air conditioning. There is a washing machine on site.
