The Authentic Alentejo House, located in a remote and magical setting in Evora, Portugal are ancient watermills that have been rescued from ruin and restored with such passion for their cultural significance and simple, rural style. The same dedication has been put into the interiors, where we found these unique handcrafted wool furniture pieces.
Designed and crafted by Agua de Prata, a portuguese studio that works the Arraiolos wool – normally used for traditional carpets – like no one else. The House owners worked closely with one of the artists, João Bruno to create 3 unique pieces: “Évora Chairs”, “Wool Stone” and “I’m so tired” all of them specially designed for them.
The location, the restoration and the thoughtful details, make for a truly authentic Alentejo experience.
