Every time we return to Far Meadow, our forest camp just outside Yosemite, we open the guestbook to find out what visitors had to say about their stays. Travelers young and old have different tales to tell of their time there, left in sweet little messages. They leave notes, not in only words, but woven into little works of art.
Sketches of flowers and trees, of resident chipmunks and deer, of canine Instagram stars, each with a personal spin. And of course, there are the likenesses of the lodgings themselves, from the steeply-angled and highly picturesque A-frames, to an impromptu tent and a while-away-the-day hammock.
Perhaps the space attracts artists… or maybe the location brings out inner creativity? Whatever it is, we thought the art of our guests was too good not to share. Enjoy!
Far Meadow is a collection of classic dwellings on 20 acres of private, unspoiled meadows in California’s High Sierras, just outside Yosemite National Park. Come visit, and leave your mark. Click here to start your journey!
