A fully equipped galley kitchen is available for self-catering; you can pick your own fresh herbs and seasonal fruits straight from the garden. A private chef can be arranged to prepare a romantic dinner.

An attached art gallery gives guests access to the leading artists of Kauia via guided tours, studio visits, art talks, art lessons, and opening receptions.

The large exterior spaces, including several generous terraces with hammocks and loungers, offer stunning views of rolling green hills of the Garden Isle and the sparkling blues of the Pacific Ocean. A jacuzzi hot tub nestled between the boulders offers amazing views of the valley.

The Spa at Ka Hale O Luina is located nearby and is a must-stop for visitors to Wabi Spa House. With a unique team of massage therapists, yoga teachers, chefs, and personal trainers, guests can avail themselves of any number of treatments during their stay. Custom spa packages can also be arranged with the owner.

Minoya-cho is a newly restored, 2-storey riverfront townhouse that once belonged to a local physician. The house is a traditional machiya built in the classical fashion by leading local craftsman of the time. Minoya-cho boasts elegant details, large rooms, and incredible views of the Kamo River from the first and second floors.

The home is exceptionally spacious and has full sliding glass doors that run the entire width of the first and second floors, providing a panoramic view of the Kamo-river.(one of the famous river in Japan) There are 3 Tatami rooms with futon-style bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and two bathrooms with a cedar tub (1st floor) and shower room (2nd floor). Architectural touches such as an internal garden and outside hallway complete the feel of being immersed in old Kyoto. Ideally located and perfect for families or large groups.

This traditional 2-story townhouse is built at the end of a stoned-paved garden courtyard that runs between the cherry-tree lines Kiyamachi Street and the Kamo river. Izumiya-cho has been restored in a modern style but offers plenty of traditional accents such as borderless Ryuku tatami mats and antique Japanese screens and artwork. 

Located on the first floor are wash room, toilet, and bathroom with cedar tub, as well as a carpeted living room and classic tatami room. The second floor has the traditional Mushiko-Mado window room, bedroom, tatami rooms, and shower.

We highly reccomend visiting Izumiya-cho in the springtime, when the cherry trees along the Takase Canal are in full, fragrant bloom.

A former artist’s atelier turned rental, Sanbo Nishinotoin-Cho features high ceilings, spacious living areas, and a private garden with household shrine that can be contemplated while soaking in the downstairs cedar bath.

The 2-story home has a tea ceremony room on the first floor, two tatami rooms. Sanbo Nishinotoin-Cho is located right behind one the finest tea shops in Koyoto, which serves green tea and traditional Japanese sweets.

One of the most luxurious of the Kyoto rentals in our collection, Gion Shinmonzen is the embodiment of classical Kyoto architecture. The home is decorated throughout with Japanese antiques and still has the original open-beam ceiling and kaidan-dansu (chest built into the stairs).

The second floor has a large tea ceremony room and there’s a spacious stone bath on the first floor. Sujiya-Cho is ideally located near to the famous Nishiki Food Market and Shijo shopping area.

A cozy and intimate traditional townhouse located in a narrow alleyway surrounded by classical examples of old Kyoto architecture. A wonderful home for couples, Ishifudono-cho is the smallest townhouse in our collection, but has enough modern comforts and traditional touches to make up for the small size.

Guests are welcomed by a wide entrance room that leads into a tatami living room. A small tsuboniwa garden can be lit up at night for viewing from the living room and bath. The second story has another  tatami room and hard-wood room, along with. The bathroom has a cedar tub.

Ebisuya-Cho is an exquisite 2-story home in the old section of Kyoto, where there are many examples of traditional Japanese architecture still remaining. The house is full of traditional Japanese touches. The first floor has a tearoom, a tatami living room with a wonderful view of the tsuboniwa garden, and bathroom with cedar bathtub. 

The second floor has a hard-wood floored living room that’s been decorated with Nabeshima rugs and antique folding screens. Ebisuya-Cho is located minutes away from the busy Shijo shopping area and the famous Nishiki Food Market, as well as to several public transportation hubs.
