Modern Design: Bohemian Granados, Barcelona, Spain
Nestled in the luscious green street of Enric Granados, this artisan styled apartment is beautifully and conveniently set. This 1 bedroom /1 bathroom, 90m2 (968 sq feet) space resonates with that of a loft, with it’s rustic 15 meter exposed brick wall that charmingly connects the front of the apartment to that of the rear. Artifacts from different parts of the world provide pops of color throughout, such as the Nordic vases elegantly displayed in the living area and the Moroccan Boucherouitte rugs, made from discarded pieces of material.
Restored doors, original Catalan style high ceilings and paper lanterns resonate throughout the apartment, giving a very unique sense of charm. The bright and spacious bedroom has a large sliding door that conveniently connects you to the dining area, a perfect base to enjoy lunch and a glass of cava, with the sound of birds chirping nearby. From here you can also look out onto the glass-encased balcony and the neighboring terraces.
The kitchen, fully equipped with high-end appliances, has a breakfast area with cute chalkboard for morning notes and is stocked with the essentials. After a day of exploring the city, refresh in the bathroom that is graced with vintage style pale yellow tiles, a shower/bath combination and fluffy white towels.
The street Enric Granados itself is praised by locals for being one of the nicest streets in Eixample. It is quiet and has an incredible selection of good restaurants, shops and galleries, whilst being close to some of Gaudí’s incredible works and amazing Modernista buildings.
