Ipanema! What a location! On my way to the sexiest beach in the world I walked right past the Garota De Ipanema bar (as the ‘Girl from Ipanema’ once did). Walking in the other direction to the Lagoa I watched the Cariocas work out in next to nothing,then round the lagoon to the exquisite botanic gardens. As soon as it became just too much I retreated back to my own split level penthouse.i felt like I was in an Austin Powers movie where I was the star(including Florence Broadhurst wallpaper which made this Aussie feel very much at home). All the creature comforts were there.The kitchen is fully functional and well equipped and the roof top terrace gives a bull’s eye view of the Christ statue while sitting back in the Jacuzzi with a caprioska in hand. The 2nd balcony and the living area on the lower level meant the friends I shared with had their own separate space when they wanted it. The 24 hour concierge was helpful and reassuring. Lastly thanks to the owner for his insider’s guide to making the mostof his apartment and of this very enticing part of Rio.Believe me…this place is the tops!

This apartment is the best one by far I have rented in 5 years and I enjoyed it very much. Also it was the best service I have had from a rental service. I was delighted to find out that the 2nd bedroom had a Queen bed and was good sized.I was also delighted that both bathrooms have walk in showers.I am 61 and have learned that tub showers
scare me.But the size of the place was much better than I expected.My son joined me for 4 days and it was perfect. I loved the view off both decks and the fact there were balconies off both. Very nice. Of course I liked the top best and would never have thought a cactus would look so good there. The Jacuzzi has the distinction of being the first Jacuzzi or pool I paid for that worked. All the appliances in the kitchen worked well. Maid service was great. I hope to get back in the next year and if so,would definitely like to rent this place again. I really did enjoy it. The doormen there were very nice and were all struggling to learn some English. All in all it was a very nice trip!

We had such a fantastic time in your gorgeous apartment. We didn’t want to ever leave, the location is perfect, it’s very spacious and the decor is amazing. Rio is such a fantastic city and Carnival was one of the best experiences. I will definitely recommend Rio as a destination and your apartment as accommodation to anyone looking for a great holiday!

Having lived in Rio I am all too aware how difficult it can be to find rentals in a good location with design flair at a fair price.My search is now over.For the same price as a mid-range corporate hotel box room you can instead be free to luxuriate in 5 times the space in your own personal playground high in the sky in a ritzy neighbourhood of Ipanema.From the moment we arrived at the the airport we were in great hands from Marcello the driver,the manager Felipe and the delightful door staff.The penthouse is very centrally located in what has to be one of the world’s most beautiful tree lined residential streets(orchids hanging down within arms reach).I’ve noticed many vacation rentals are located in the more hectic,edgier and less desirable vicinity of General Osorio Square(not to mention a surprisingly high number that claim to be in Ipanema but on closer inspection are in fact in Arpoador or even South Copa!).It really does make a difference to walk everywhere and relax as a local Cariioca in the serene and absolute heart of magical Ipanema.The penthouse has a sense of character and fun,not to mention a stylishness that is inviting yet doesn’t try too hard.Kept noticing detailing like the wallpaper by Vivienne Westwood,fabulous heavy linens on the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on and art works of substance that reflect real discernment.Loved being on 2 levels so you can be with friends when you choose,yet still have the option to retreat to your own private space.None of the photos will ever do full justice to the thrill of the ever changing magnificent panoramic views as my friends and I dined al fresco on the dreamy terrace! I could go on but all in all this represents spectacular value for living the high life in this most exciting of cities!

We had a fantastic time and loved the penthouse.Wanted to thank you for allowing us to stay in your great place -it really was the highlight of our trip! Great place,great location,great value. Kids loved it.You have been a fantastic host,and Felipe was excellent as well. Should we return to Rio I just hope we can stay there again.Thanks for everything.
