After looking forward to our time at Arundel for a while – we realized that no picture could do it justice! Spectacular views, spectacular house – with everything obviously chosen with care and detail Janet made us feel so welcome – and we all loved our time on the patio and in the pool! Cane Garden Bay was much fun – couldn’t believe the privacy at Brewers Bay. Long bay and Smugglers Cove (and of course, Soper’s Hole) were much fun. Bananakeet – great for a sunset dinner!
But in the end, it all pales in comparison to the beauty and tranquility of Arundel (in between the squeals of delight of our children).

After a very long day travelling, we arrived late at Arundel and wow! The views the following morning compounded the wow! Janet is truly magnificent and ensures that the house remains an oasis of calm to enjoy as a base to explore Tortola. Returning late most nights we all felt it to be like coming home – even after just one week.
We have visited the island many times before but this was our first stay at Arundel – should we return, we now have no option to stay anywhere else in the BVI.

There, at the top, we found our remote villa sitting on two acres that overlooked the ocean. From the villa, we had 180-degree views of the water-but not one person or building.
Each day we awoke to warm salty breezes and at night watched the sky turn bright orange then deep purple.
