Halicarnassus Suites, Bodrum, Turkey
Halicarnassus Suites consists of 3 private apartments contained within a traditional stone house on one of the highest points of Turkey’s Bodrum peninsula. From the property you can see from Yalikavak Marina to the west, Samos Island in Greece, 45km away north and Gundogan to the east. Extensive outdoor spaces including a wonderful Balinese-style salt water pool with views of the sea and hills meet generous interiors with antique touches for a totally relaxing and affordable Turkish hideaway. Each suite accommodates 2 guests but can be booked together when available for larger groups.
Labranda Suite
The Labranda Suite is located on the top floor of one stone house and entered via stairs from the extensive patio. The east facing wall has colored glass windows while antique furnishes such as a 19th century wood dining table and Korean dressing cabinet add a luxurious atmosphere. The kitchen is a traditional antique pine reproduction of an Aegean kitchenette.
Herakleia Suite
The Herakleia Suite is entered from the extensive stone patio surrounding the house via a 19th century Ottoman door. The suite has a double bed in the style of a Japanese Tatami tucked into a Roman alcove. An Ottoman style kitchenette includes all necessary tableware and cooking accessories.
Iassus Suite
The Iassus residence is the largest of the three suites and is entered from the patio via an antique carved pine door. The suite boasts amazing light due to a large glass and pine accordian style French doors. There is an antique rosewood dining set and 19th century Rajatani takat lounge bed. There’s also an intimate rose garden and Japanese oak dining table made from a 19th century hot tub.
