Moura Encantada is, well, enchanting. Set right on the edge of the Santa Clara reservoir, the Villa offers a tranquil, relaxing experience in the Alentejo reigion, the “bread basket” of Portugal. More than just a vacation rental, Moura Encantada will introduce you to Portuguese culture from the moment you arrive.

Simple and spacious, the villa has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living area, and several terraces. A suspended deck with lounge chairs and an outdoor dining set is built over the dam, offering spectacular views of Santa Clara lake. The property also has a jetty for diving, sunbathing, and fishing in the Portuguese sunshine. An amazing library contains a curated collection of books, magazines, CDs, records, and journals for your enjoyment.

Meals are home-cooked, traditional Portuguese fare and include an appetizer, main course, dessert, and coffee. Food can be served inside or outside, based on your preference. You have the option of self-catering. Breakfast is included in the rates.

In addition, a solar-powered yacht (accomodates up to 12) is available for cruises across Santa Clara Lake. The yacht can be chartered for full or half-day cruises, as well as for special occasions. Food and drink are served onboard. Guests at the villa receieve a 20% discount on boat chartering prices.

Moura Encantada is the perfect spot for couples or a family with young children. The villa is located 230 km south of Lisbon, or about a 2.5 hour drive. The nearest airport is in Faro, about an hour’s drive from Villa Encantada. Parking is available onsite.
