Glamping Yurts, Coimbra, Portugal

Enjoy the rich rural atmosphere of Central Portugal at Glamping Yurts, a pair of authentic Turkic Yurts just an hour outside the medieval university town of Coimbra on a privately managed hectare of terraced land. Chic and affordable, Glamping Yurts are a unique choice for vacationers in the heart of Portugal.
The Yurts are surprisingly roomy, each featuring a double bed and private exterior bathroom with hot shower, sink, and eco-friendly loo. The Chestnut Tree Yurt sleeps two adults with an option to add two children’s beds, while the Apple Tree Yurt (with attached pod, rentable separately) sleeps up to four; a great pick for families. Both Yurts sit on elevated platforms besides a huge chestnut tree which offers shade all day. A comfortable bell tent (sleeps 2) can be rented for extra guests/children.
A wonderful continental breakfast prepared with local produce is included in the rate. It’s served al fresco next to your yurt. Packed lunches and evening meals are also available at your request.
The Glamping Yurts are located in a great area for wild swimming in one of several nearby rivers, fishing, mountain-biking, stargazing, and other outdoor activities. A visit to the many historic destinations in the area (Romain ruins and medieval castles among them) can be arranged. The towns of Arganil and Gois are twenty minutes drive from the Yurts and offer a weekly market and several cafes.
Glamping Yurts offers an affordable Honeymoon package for the off-beat bridal party. Check out the Notes field for full details.

“Heavenly honeymoon”
A truly chilled out week. A yurt decorated and furnished like a plush hotel room with the benefit of stepping out into nature. Just the right touches to ensure a totally relaxed holiday. Hammocks, robes, the best tasting home cooked food imaginable and hosts that are quite possibly the nicest people we have ever met. Derek and Hannah can advise on some amazing local swimming spots.

What a wonderful place to start our honeymoon!
I only hope the rest of our trip will be as magical as this.
Horseback riding, wild swimming, relaxing in hammocks, its to die for!
Thanks for an enchanting stay.

Thank you so much for five great days here on this beautiful and quiet place on earth.
This place is wonderful both when it rains and when the sun shines.
Thank you for showing us some unforgettable wild swimming spots.
Not only were they beautiful with clear water and so many tones of green around. We also had them all to ourselves.
We felt a bit like Adam and Eve in paradise!

When visiting your website we had high expectations for our experience here and on arrival we were certainly not disappointed.
The comfort of the yurt itself the hospitality offered by all (especially Balu!) and our every need catered for meant that this perhaps too brief a stay will be treasured forever. Lazy days lounging in the hammocks braving the compost loo and filling ourselves with a delicious breakfast and dinner meant that we are prepared to move from the tranquility of the yurt and into the bustle of Lisbon.
Thank you and best wishes
