  “Like Having My Own Apartment in the Marais”
  I’ve spent a lot of time in Paris for work and for pleasure so it was time to take our visits to the next level. My husband found Casamidy for us on the internet and when we arrived: wow! It reminded us a lot of our apartment we had in New York City down on Jane Street: top level and very cozy. The decor is a mix of shabby chic and the owner’s own interestingly crafted metal modern pieces. We instantly felt at home and loved the fact that when we felt tired, we simply went down stairs, got our baguette and pates and a bottle of wine and stayed inside for the night.

  The space is airy and bright with lots of windows and a view of the Pompidou’s roof. The outdoor dining area is perfect for checking weather and eating outdoors on a warm day. Everything was clean, dust-free, and comfortable–including the bed, which is always a risk in an apartment type situation. The bathroom and kitchen are small but clean and serviceable and the heat was very efficient on cold October mornings. The best part was the owners have set up a cab service that is all done by phone and computer so you don’t miss having a doorman call you cab for the airport at 4 in the morning. A totally enjoyable apartment and we’ve told everyone we know to stay there.

  My husband and I stayed in this beautiful apartment and could not have been happier. I am an interior designer and my husband is a creative director so the careful design of this space was not lost on us. The owner paid great attention to detail mixing old and new so that the space feels totally comfortable and yet stylish. The location in the Marais is also fantastic as it is walking distance from the Pompidou Centre as well as many cafes, restaurants, and great shops.

  We would definitely return to this charming home away from home.

  My husband and I stayed in this gorgeous apartment for a week in April and couldn’t have been more thrilled with our temporary home-away-from-home.

  The historic building opens to a private courtyard followed by a stately and beautiful staircase. The apartment itself, on the building’s top floor, is large, spacious, and drenched with fabulous natural light from the numerous windows and skylights, which we frequently opened to take advantage of the lovely weather and fresh air. The living, dining, and sleeping areas are wonderfully open and the decor is nothing short of inspirational — especially for someone (like me!) in Paris to hit the marche aux puces. It is exceptionally designed while being comfortable, and made staying in as much a vacation as being out and about in Paris.

  The kitchen is fully equipped, which enabled us to eat in and prepare dinner from what we picked up at the several boulangeries, patisseries, and markets located just a block away. The queen-sized bed was extremely comfortable and the large, sky-lit walk-in shower was fabulous — two very important traveling perks! And perhaps best of all was the apartment’s lovely terrace and its gorgeous Paris-rooftop views, which really made our stay exceptional.

  Located in the heart of the Marais, the apartment is surrounded by shopping and hip bars and restaurants. It is close to several metro stations, is just a few blocks from the Pompidou, and is an easy walk to the Ile de la Cite — perfect for sightseeing.

  My husband and I had a lovely stay in this beautiful, historic apartment. We can’t wait to return!
