Mita Residence is a contemporary concrete house built in 2009 by the owner/architect. Inspired by the design of Japanese shop-houses in Tokyo, the home is a beautiful expression of clean minimalism without starkness. Large windows, neutral colors, and natural light expand and enhance the interior spaces. Wood paneling is used to balance the natural coldness of concrete.

It is conveniently located in Meguro/Ebisu area close to subway stations with a variety of shops and restaurants. Walk within minutes to Ebisu Westin Hotel for limousine bus transportation to/from airports. The nearby Ebisu Garden Place also offers excellent shopping and dining experience with a number of gourmet restaurants on top of the building with a magnificent view of Tokyo skyline.

Seaside House is an architectural summer home in the calm town of Hamaya, one hour from Tokyo. The design of the house emphasizes the relation between man and nature by using outdoor spaces to connect the two main buildings. The 2-story structure is made of wood and uses natural and warm colors throughout.

The interiors, which contain 3-bedrooms and 3-bathrooms, are stylishly furnished in a minimalist yet casual style. The outdoors consist of 2 spaces that are anchored by two symbolic trees with a sand court and outdoor jacuzzi. The extensive use of folding doors and wide exterior decks further brings the outdoors inside and vice versa. The fully equipped kitchen features full-length folding doors for a seamless transition between interior and exterior dining.

The atmosphere is one of calm tranquility that brings together the simplicity of Japanese design and the beauty of the Japanese seaside.

Minoya-cho is a newly restored, 2-storey riverfront townhouse that once belonged to a local physician. The house is a traditional machiya built in the classical fashion by leading local craftsman of the time. Minoya-cho boasts elegant details, large rooms, and incredible views of the Kamo River from the first and second floors.

The home is exceptionally spacious and has full sliding glass doors that run the entire width of the first and second floors, providing a panoramic view of the Kamo-river.(one of the famous river in Japan) There are 3 Tatami rooms with futon-style bedding, a fully equipped kitchen, and two bathrooms with a cedar tub (1st floor) and shower room (2nd floor). Architectural touches such as an internal garden and outside hallway complete the feel of being immersed in old Kyoto. Ideally located and perfect for families or large groups.

This traditional 2-story townhouse is built at the end of a stoned-paved garden courtyard that runs between the cherry-tree lines Kiyamachi Street and the Kamo river. Izumiya-cho has been restored in a modern style but offers plenty of traditional accents such as borderless Ryuku tatami mats and antique Japanese screens and artwork. 

Located on the first floor are wash room, toilet, and bathroom with cedar tub, as well as a carpeted living room and classic tatami room. The second floor has the traditional Mushiko-Mado window room, bedroom, tatami rooms, and shower.

We highly reccomend visiting Izumiya-cho in the springtime, when the cherry trees along the Takase Canal are in full, fragrant bloom.

A former artist’s atelier turned rental, Sanbo Nishinotoin-Cho features high ceilings, spacious living areas, and a private garden with household shrine that can be contemplated while soaking in the downstairs cedar bath.

The 2-story home has a tea ceremony room on the first floor, two tatami rooms. Sanbo Nishinotoin-Cho is located right behind one the finest tea shops in Koyoto, which serves green tea and traditional Japanese sweets.
