I visited Sep 14-16, 2012 (3 nights)
The cabin is located in the forest with 100% privacy and nature around. It is highly comfortable for couple with children (I will doubt two couples because one of the double beds is in the open space). You have everything you need there, but this is not what I wanted to tell you. You probably read about all of this in other reviews. What I wanted to tell you is, for my opinion, even more important. The owners of the cabin are super nice and willing to help in everything you need during your stay at the cabin and after. For me, it is the best feeling, more than anything else.

We have stayed at Far Meadow/old yosemite a couple of times, and it is always everything you’d want it to be. The old yosemite cabin is REALLY pretty and being down closer to Oakhurst makes it a great place to stay if you want to be able to go into Yosemite Valley for the day. We also spent a few days up at the A-Frame cabin and its definitely one of our favorite places to go. Its just the right blend of simple/rustic without actually roughing it at all. Both places are well tended, the host is friendly and helpful, and its overall probably the most relaxing experience you could imagine. All in all, the properties are what you make of them… there’s really something for everyone.. if you’re very active/outdoor adventurer, there’s a ton of exploring to do… if you’re more of a foodie/hangout type there is an amazing deck with a fabulous grill on it for perfect outdoor cooking and eating/hanging out. We’ll be back!
