Casa Coco, Yelapa, Mexico

Casa Coco is a bright and airy traditional Mexican house located in the remote village of Yelapa, which is best reached by water taxi from Puerto Vallarta. Surrounded by lush tropical vegetation and decorated in vibrant local art, it’s large enough to accommodate six people, with two spacious bedroom suites downstairs and another bedroom with two singles upstairs.
There’s plenty of space to relax in the house’s spacious living and kitchen area, a cozy reading area, a sun-filled terrace that stretches the whole length of the house, a small courtyard with a fountain, and balconies. Casa Coco is adjacent to another completely private property called Coco Cabana, which can also be rented.

“Paradise Found”
When you close your eyes, and say to yourself “I want to go somewhere beautiful, tropical, and peaceful to get away from it all,” you’re talking about Casa Coco.
From the kindness of the people who greet you upon your arrival, to the sense of calm and relaxation that comes over you while watching the dolphins and wales frolic about; nothing can bring about a sense of serenity like Casa Coco.
The owners with help of a wonderful local couple , Felipe and Yanet, keep the house, painted of bright cheerful Mexican colors, clean and well maintained. The terraced gardens are equally lovely with an abundance of colorful exotic flowers.
From our extensive research on the Internet and the various conversations we had with other travelers while in Yelapa we think that we hit the mark by choosing Casa Coco! We highly recommend it; and I know we’ll be going back!

What a beautiful way to experience true Mexico.
Yelapa is a rare find … and Casa Coco is the place to stay.
This casa is set in the mountains overlooking the ocean.
The photos on the web site are authentic and true to what you will find.
It is beautiful, well maintained, the landscaping is fabulous. While you are puttering around in the kitchen you look up and there before you is the most amazing view. No windows, no screens.
At night, you can close a door to the bedrooms and there are shutters on the windows that close. We did this after a local cat jumped in bed with us … gave us a little scare!
We should have had the fridge stocked, but enjoyed the walk to town for breakfast etc. Wish we would have used Felipe for the trip to the Marietta Islands, but the Garcia family was great — all of whom you will meet at the beach in town, along with Hector and the gang. Isidio was a fabulous guide to the waterfall, very informative, very proud.
The hike to the house is beautiful … no trouble at all

it is my third trip and each time gets better than the previous, the beauty of the surrounding, flowers every where, the panoramic views, the early morning dolphins and whales jumping in and out of the water, the tranquility and peacefulness, the birds singing, the resplendence of the multitude of colors, the taste of the various local food and let us not forget the delicious margaritas…. Yes I will go back

“Remote Paradise with a View from Heaven”
This home is a well-equipped and comfortable bungalow overlooking the bay of
banderas, with amazing views from every direction. The perfect blue water
spreads out before you and feels like an island paradise. It is a great place to
disconnect from the world and be close to nature. The home is spacious and
comfortable and the caretaker, Felipe, and his wife, Yanet, provided us with
excellent help during our stay. Yanet will cook for you whenever you like for a
modest charge and Felipe is great for getting heavy supplies, food, and drinks
from town. He also took us on a great boat tour of the area and took us to an
absolutely remote beach where we had a picnic lunch. You get a workout
walking the paths of Yelapa and up to Casa Coco, but it’s worth it. We would
definitely go back. A small but beautiful resort, Verana, is nearby and has lunch
and a spa open to the public.
