Spending a week at Cangrejo Y Toro in Feb. 2013 was a delight. To celebrate a 70th birthday, we had our family, 10 in all; 2 senior citizens, 4 adults and 4 children ages 6 to 15, for one week in Mexico. It was everything we could hope for.
Yolanda, Paloma and Marcos provided for all our meals and comfort.
The kids rode horses on the beach, surfed every day, fished and kayaked.
A truly heavenly experience.

These owners must have enjoyed watching their masterpiece coming together. Everywhere you look are gardens and every corner of each palapa/bedroom feels luxurious. The private, relaxed setting was perfect for my group of friends and our young families to celebrate a special birthday.

“Book Your Ticket Now”
Every detail of both the palapas we stayed in, and the landscaping that surrounded us, was out of this world: the lap pool surrounded by flowers, the showers surrounded by palm trees, the bedrooms surrounded by the sounds of the ocean. Fresh coconuts were cut for us each morning. Fresh fish was caught on the beach. The couple who cared for us were endlessly helpful, kind, and very talented in the kitchen. My only tip would be to plan to extend your stay!

“A Completely Unique Mexican Paradise”
Cangrejo y Toro is one of the most unique places I have ever had the pleasure of staying. The house is completely open, so everyone you go you hear the pounding ocean and chirping birds, even the kitchen is open and it was such a pleasure cooking in it. Our only difficultly was corralling our 12 month old son, the house is not designed for children but we figured it out and all had a wonderful time. We will be back.

Four of us stayed here in jan 2012, and loved the place. Very serene if not more beautiful than the pictures. Loved the private situation, and the proximity to the water! a little slice of paradise with every detail thought of! we would definately go back again.

“Paradise found! At Cangrejo y Toro!”
Words cannot describe how crazy gorgeous this place is! I went into it expecting a lot from the pictures, and was blown away by the reality–it’s your own private mansion on the seaside stocked with every amenity you didn’t even imagine you needed. Each of the different casitas are beautiful, modern and clean with tropical details that enhance the natural surroundings. Nothing says luxury quite like taking an open air shower while watching waves crash along the shore of the beach. Every morning a tropical fruit breakfast was waiting for us and our dishes and mess from the previous evening had magically disappeared thanks to the fantastic and attentive house staff. The lounge area on the pool deck in combination with the infinity pool provided endless relaxation and entertainment–swim, sun, swim, sun! Only a short walk down the beach led to the sleepy fishing town of Mahajua where we enjoyed the freshest and most delicious seafood! We took surf lessons from a resident surfer, went kayaking in a remote lagoon with an oceanographer, hiked to a hidden cave with Marcos, the groundskeeper and even got to go fishing with the “mayor” of Mahajua! All in all, an amazing escape to paradise. I cannot wait to return!
