Maison Coloniale, Paraty, Brazil
This all inclusive hotel has just opened as a pop up concept ahead of a full opening in 2015 (while archeological excavations continue). A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the hotel and the central district of Paraty are both rich in colonial history and among a densely vibrant concentration of authentically well preserved architecture and culture.
Carefully restored while maintaining the original colonial influences and architecture, the structure and character of the 17th century hotel is preserved throughout and has been updated with fresh, uncomplicated design.
The cool white washed interiors, wood floors and pistachio green accents create a bright, casual vibe while the simple classic furnishings and decor don’t take luxury too seriously, making for a comfortable and inviting space.
With three junior suites and two twin bedrooms, the hotel is ideal for a large group or family and all come fully equipped with en suite baths.
Large shuttered doors open out to a lovely private garden and veranda that’s perfect for outdoor dining and entertaining.
With it’s historic identity and heart still very much intact, this is an opportunity to enjoy history while indulging in simple luxuries.
Full service and all inclusive, you’ll have a private chef, concierge and staff to manage all your needs. Enjoy catered expeditions to the beach or jungle interiors along with use of the house boat for ocean and island excursions. Fully equipped with Wifi and all personal amenities.
As a UNESCO World heritage site, the central district of Paraty is strikingly preserved in time and you’ll see and feel the cultural and architectural significance everywhere. Cobblestone streets, whitewashed exteriors and playful splashes of color are all hallmarks of Portuguese colonial influence.
Set along the lush Costa Verde, the town fronts the Ilha Grande bay and it’s multiple islands and the Serra da Bocaina mountains inland. From pristine beaches, to lush jungles you are surrounded by amazing natural beauty and history.
